We are trying to take Melinda on a special birthday trip, but things keep going wrong. The first day of her birthday trip is ruined, but we let's try to turn it around and have a good 2nd day!

Crystal, if you get vacuum seal bags you can fit a lot more in suitcases. It’s what I do to make stuff fit in carry on size so I don’t need to check bags!

I'm Melinda's age with a bunch of back problems, too. I'm actually going to get tested for rheumatoid arthritis soon. It's hard being young and having the body of a 60 year old. I'm glad she's doing better!
I told some guy to stop touching my friend at a club one time and he literally kissed me, it was so disgusting. Literally traumatizing

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Melinda’s new hairstyle on her! She’s already beautiful but it accentuates her looks even more. When you guys said she was getting hit on by guys over and over I couldn’t stop chuckling because I just knew it was going to happen, she’s single and beautiful.

Just a bit of advice: Never schedule an event on the day of travel. There is always something unexpected that happens when flying. I flew from SLC to Virginia yesterday with a layover in Baltimore. The plane had to fly in circles for an hour before we landed in Baltimore because of too much air traffic in the area! Then when we landed in Virginia, we couldn’t pull up the a gate because they were all full! Flying schedules are so unpredictable and fluctuate because of so many random things.

Some people take a lot of stuff for short trips though. I can take a back pack and have the things I need for 3 days.
Unfortunately Crystal seems to be unprepared for planning trips more often than not. You can't bite off more than you can chew, by taking care of others before your trip. Making plans to see a show without giving yourself ample time knowing full well flights are not usually on time. Enjoy your videos but pretty stressful on your when you're not prepared. I think Melinda felt the stress as well.
Stuff happens and when you have a big family unplanned things can happen. She does pretty good for having as big a family as she has. I know people with a lot smaller families that get off track on a regular basis. Mental health, anxiety can add to this. I feel she does well for all that she has to deal with on a daily basis. They still left on time.
She does. She can be so hectic sometimes. But she is sweet

How on earth do ppl need a check-in suitcase for one day? I can pack all I need for 5 days or less in a carry-on and I’m a girl
For their souvenirs and outfit changes as some places where they went have a certain dress code
My parents and I can fit our stuff for a three day two night trip in one carry-on suitcase, but I guess that since we prefer to go walking and sightsee, we only need to bring comfortable clothes suited for the weather

I’m such a basket case about packing… I’m packed 1 week before. I would’ve been so stressed. Rofl! But you’re pros at packing, esp. for 16 kids, so just packing for yourself must be a cinch!

I went 2 days to another city for a concert and I packed 3 full outfits plus pjs plus makeup to do a full look for the concert and accessories and all of that in the backpack I use for college

With how the airlines are always late these days I’m really surprised that you booked a show that close to when you were supposed to get in. That was just not wise planning I have not been on an airplane lately that has been on time and most of them have been severely late like an hour or two it’s just not something to gamble on.

The only thing I question os WHY would you buy tickets that close to your flight landing. You never know when your flight may be delayed. Why not take an earlier flight to be safe. Now you are out $$$.
