I'll share my experience: I actually bought some good darts half price there in Jan/Feb time! Unicorn 700 for about 22 quid. They also had some Gary Andersons but someone had nicked one dart out of the only box left! 😢 I went back a few weeks later and they had sold all their tungsten darts they had left, since then they've only had a couple of cases, unicorn aluminium stems (I bought the last couple of packs of gripper 2s) and some really shit brass darts, haven't managed to restock anything decent in months. I imagine the darts boom means no one is selling cheap overstock to SD at the moment!
i work at sports direct (a small one mind), there was a huge surge of darts gear coming in around about the world championship final, started slowing down until a few months afterwards, literally nothing coming in now
Finding a shop that sells proper darts is quite difficult, theres a snooker and darts shop in Blackpool where im from and theres lots of flights and stems but there is only about 30 sets of darts to choose from and not many different weighted ones etc... most towns and cities dont even have a shop at all to be fair 😢😬
John Lewis sell a brand of dartboards called Catdart. Round wiring with staples for 40 quid. Don't get trampled in the rush folks. Sometimes Lidl/Aldi get pretty horrid sets in too.
I got mine from Norwich in chapel field. It’s moved now into house of Fraser. Paid £28 for level 7 darts 90% tungsten. They’re next to the bats and shit
The only darts I’ve ever seen in Sports Direct have always been brass ones for about a tenner. Personally I get my darts from Red Dragon Darts or if I fancy trying something different (barrel shape or weight) for not too much money I have a look at Darts Clearance .
@@TJRacerF1 yeah, carmichaels is on Magdalen street, and there’s due to be a darts place opening in either chapelfields or the mall can’t remember which

Great video! i own a few darts from Harrows i throw now with the reloaded 24 grams but i just got the black night 25 grams. Because i needed 1 gram above and i changed my grip from middle to front and i went from 32 average to almost 45 in a week. So now i orderd a front loaded set. I have a question. Where did you print the surround?
I've thought about using Plastidip, but actually, and I think you can even spot this issue here, rubber on rubber will usually have too much traction, so grouping would be a mess. I've actually used PTFE tape to try and that itself is maybe a tad less slippery and smooth tungsten, but would habe to create a ridge to really have something to grip on. I was going to try Fixomull Stretch, which is a flexible adhesive fabric that will work best if you had wet fingers probably, but I know from using it like intended in wound care that it won't be that grippy and will look disgusting in a jiffy. If you really want grip, then I think the best you could do is grip tape like for skateboards or stairs. While that can be fun or maybe help in an emergency, I rather buy the darts with a grip that's suitable to me and that includes quite a lot of possibilities that will at least work. I mean, I can throw smoothies, just not as well as it could be
I'd be interested to see if you can cut the rubber off those darts to see if there's any grip underneath. If not then you have a blank canvas for any ideas you have!
if jack doesn't I have a rubber set of Gary Andersons I got from sports direct for a laugh and wouldn't mind destroying them lol. Best way of cutting it off not so sure though, ain't losing a thumb over one of them.
Jack, the ones local to me seem to have stopped stocking darts in store after selling off most of what they had earlier in the year thanks to the littler hype
anyway I'm very happy to have played with a darts player like you on fortnite in 1v1 I appreciate her a lot I wish her all the best and also her darts career
I would cut the rubber off personally and then sand off the remains, could just be a smooth barrell but i once used the smooth ted hankey darts and they were quite nice
The same thing happened in Worcester. The advent of Littler happened & there was absolutely sod all to choose from. So little, in fact that even desperate newby's wouldn't buy them
We got a dartboard at work a year or so ago and we bought the pack with stems, flights, rings and stuff and they alright, I bought some darts but they were a bit naff.
carmichaels dart mart in norwich isnt a bad place, they usually have a load of penthalon stuff. just dont get your darts repointed there because theyll take your old points without asking if you want them back :) i have quite a few sets and they let you have a few throws if you want to see whether you like them as well. Love the content :D
I GOT MY DARTS FROM THERE! XQ Max 23 grams - and then i went there a few weeks back to see what they had and i needed some stems but i couldnt find any darts that time
The issue isn't that the dont sell, the issue is the sell to fast, people buy and resell for full price as sports direct never charge full always discounted
Hi Jack Im Davids Dad, Mark. Have recently got him a £50 set of Luke Littler Darts. They have Swiss Points tips. Unfortunately, 2 have completely snapped, luckily i got a spare set of Target Swiss point Tips and have swapped over. In your opinion, how often should these be changed and/or how long should they last begore breaking. Hes 11 years Old and probably practices 4-5 hours a day. We have the Winmau Blade II6 Dart board. TBH, hes a decent player has the odd bounce out, and the occasional miss the board throw. But, generally hardly misses the board itself. Just were having an issue with the tips snapping. Thanks in Advance for any help👍👍
Is the dartboard located in the house, or is it in a shed or conservatory with a hard floor? Swiss points are designed to snap under pressure as they're easier to replace. I haven't managed to break one on my laminate flooring though
Hello Thanks for the reply, yes its in the House, with Laminate, but have a Checkout Oche Mat aswell. Yes the Darts do hit the floor sometimes. Will get something to cover the whole area around the Dartboard. Thanks again👍👍
I don't think Sports Direct always know how expensive things should be. I've bought branded cricket kit from there before thinking it should be way more expensive than they're selling it for.
when I found you I didn't know you were a professional darts player but 8 euros are a bit too much for me the 6 euro ones were cheap to spend little but they are nice you were trying to hit it but you are very good I'm the one who did 1v1 with you on fortnite
went in there and saw a dart board (bladed) for £65 reduced from 130. can get the best board a lot cheaper online lmao EDIT: I got those flights and stems too lol
great to see the content coming thick and fast jack
