    Is this the only way of making the car sound pre-GPF whilst keeping it road legal?

    • @RegalAutosport

      You can go for a non-res system, or an even louder system

    why did they go for the resonated option? is it because of drone?

    Hi Guys this is my car ,to be honest after having it fitted ,felt like I had wasted £2k , Im thinking of doing away with the resonator but concerned about the drone

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 года назад

      Sorry to hear that Robin! I just spoke to Dom and he said that he’s provided info on the centre silencer delete, we haven’t fitted one so can’t comment on the drone BUT the GPF equipped cars are more muted so we’d think that there wouldn’t be drone.

      I have res delete on my 2017 non gpf s3. You only hear the drone when you go 90+ mph. If you are cruising in 7th gear 70 mph doesnt drone much at all. It sounds so much nicer and the pops and bags are perfect. For the cost of £150-200. Honestly cant go wrong.

      @@RegalAutosport Hi, I have this same exhaust fitted to my Golf R estate and I’m really disappointed by how quiet it is... can you recommend anything to make it louder and how much would you charge to do so?

    • @RegalAutosport

      Sorry to hear that Danny! We are fitting a non-res centre section tomorrow to this car as this customer felt the same.
      Please contact us using the details in the description for information on this.

    Have you ever come across a 2019 S3 8v facelift fitted with the GPF but doesn't have a mid resonator? From your video it looks like particular S3 still has a resonator. If you have come across one with a GPF and no res, is it one piece all the way to the back box?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 года назад

      Usually GPF cars do not have a middle resonator

      @@RegalAutosportThanks for the response. Have you had any feedback from your customers who have had a GPF back fitted, that it brought back the DSG fart sound? My 2019 S3 has no audible character =(

    Question... when you did the milltek sound check, was the valves open in Sport/Dynamic mode? Or was that in comfort? If that's Sport mode, then a non resonated valve milltek system is def needed?
    Any links of a non res valve EA888/MQB exhaust??

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 года назад +4

      This is in Sport/Dynamic mode, the resonated is very quiet and subtle. The Non-Res is what we recommend + we have a video coming in the coming weeks of this car going to a non-res.

    With the miltek exhaust thats how it should sound from stock but that PPF thing is killing this sound and makes such a beast of a car sound so poor. I would personally would have done a decat downpipe, PPF and resonator delete instead of spending all these money for a resonator PPF back exhaust which would make my car sound..stock..

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  4 года назад +1

      Milltek also offer a straight-through (unsilenced) centre section for even more volume!
      For sure the PPF is killing the sound... In the UK a PPF/GPF delete is an MOT failure, so any person wanting to do this has to be under the full understanding that their vehicle is no longer usable on the road.

      @@RegalAutosport Hi guys nice videos.
      Can you direct us to the Miltek that is louder / straight through? We have a 19 plate Cupra R ST ABT and it needs to be louder!

    Does this exhaust bring back the DSG blip on the upshift ?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 года назад

      It releases more of the already existing tone and volume, and the farts are also more evident!
