Just bought the macropad 2 but it's no longer supported by QMK. What can I do to customize?

Please note that on Fri Aug 6 2021 the support for all keyboards using Microchip ATtiny85, including ANAVI Macro Pad 2, was dropped from QMK due to the increased size of the firmware following the implementation of a features to process combos earlier and overlapping combos. Therefore support for ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is available in older versions, for example QMK firmware version 0.13.19. Sorry for the inconvenience. Details how to download QMK 0.13.19 and customize it for Macro Pad 2 are available at:

You have to do rotary encoders

Yes, absolutely! This is the next step in the master plan. The global chip shortage kind of puts a break on my enthusiasm for making new printed circuit boards right now but in long term the next will be with rotary encoders :)
