I'm saying this everywhere but it genuinely seems like a big brother / little sister relationship. He’s so protective of her and she is so desperate to live up to his faith in her. It’s absolutely gorgeous to see. She messes up, she sheepishly walks over to him, he steers her back on track with confidence and a laugh, gives her a hug and a push away, and she skips off. It’s like watching two kids. It must be so validating for her. No, you're crying.
Definitely, all the band together are just like one big happy family, Mike is very protective of Emily & rightly so, been friends for a while now, definitely older brother, younger sister relationship, all working so damn well, for them & for us too, you can see how happy they all are, one big Linkin park family

If you've not watched the Zane Lowe interview with the band - conducted before Emily was unveiled, there are SO MANY gorgeous moments between not just Mike, but Brad, Han, and Dave too, just gushing about Emily - and her over them. Essential viewing.

The generational diversity that Colin, Emily and Alex brings to the band is really something, truly. LP always had a very close-knit brotherly friend group energy when it came to live concerts. But now after 7 years, the other 3 joining in makes this band feel more like a very happy family just doing what they love.
I love that Mike gave her that reassurance that it’s cool to mess up a lyric. It’s not like it happens all the time and.. in the end it doesn’t even matter…. (See what I did there) There’s multiple times I’ve seen Chester and probably Mike too mess up a lyric. It happens
Emily's "Oh shit" and Mike's audible laugh made the song even better for me lol That's why live perfomances is always awesome, you never know what can happen. And by the way, Emily had to learn how to sing like 50 songs that she didn't wrote or recorded while recording a whole new album. She's more than fine.

Idk about y'all but for real I miss Brad but Alex fit in well. In lp's last concerts, 2012-2017, Brad didn't seem to be much interested in playing live. Alex brings that energy alongside Phoenix. No hate, tho. I still love and miss seeing Brad live
