- Hey Everyone! So here's a full in depth night review of the New 2018 VW Tiguan with SEL Premium package. I know the video is a bit long, but we cover just about every little night feature.

FYI - Charleston Car Videos on RUclips Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people using my car videos to sell cars at dealerships all over the South East Region.
I'm Chad Dolbier the creator of CCV. After High School I was unsure of what to do for a career as many young adults are. Instead of going to college I decided to start working in the car business in 2000. My first car job was at Acura of Charleston being a car detailer/washer. In 2003 our Acura store started to clear land next door and built Audi of Charleston. After a few years passing and still detailing Acura's & Audi's in 2005 I was asked to be a car salesman. In 2006 I started the Internet Department for Acura & Audi. Then in 2008 is when the car videos all started up! 2010 is when I left Acura & Audi and started my own car dealership video business. So far today I've built RUclips channel for over 18 car brands & dealerships. So enjoy my channel and hopefully you can learn something new! Great review. I have the 2010 Tiguan Premium with the panoramic roof and all the bells and whistles. It has been the best vehicle I have ever driven. The comfort level is off the chart. I drove from Phoenix to Las Vegas and arrived with no fatigue. This larger version with the third row seats should do very well in sales in the USA. I still love my mini version since I drive solo the majority of the time.

Cool 2 finally see thé ambient lighting in thé roof. Just 2 bad you guys didn't go in a darker spot for thé video and also didn't try to adjust thé brightness of thé ambient lights. Still a great video tho... Thanks guys 🤘
thanks for the comment! We did drive the car to a dark area, but we forgot to film the interior from that spot. I'll be doing another review at night with the car soon.

Great video. No need to hold it when remote starting, just lock once and press remote start twice. If the car is low on gas (reserve) that feature will not work

Thanks Chad...nice video. I like the ambient lighting and the power folding mirrors of the new Tiguan. Still prefer my 2017 CX-5 however and look forward to your compare video. Also a pretty cool digital cockpit on this vehicle, but I love the heads-up display with my CX-5 and wouldn't give that up. I think the CX-5 is quieter too. I think this new Tiguan also costs more than the new CX-5.

+Irena Facelli - Hi, the 2018 facelift CX-5 is very nice. Nice car. I agree, HUD is good. You can get a HUD for a Tiguan (in Europe anyway), and it works well. I've test driven a manual CX-5 and New Tiguan SEL with 7-speed DSG, and both were quiet - I think the Tiguan was a bit smoother, and it had DCC. When in 'comfort' setting, the low speed ride was much better, and more compliant on pot holes in the road!

It does say in the manual you shouldn’t ride in the 3rd row if you’re over 5’3”.

My Wife is in love with the Tiguan and I really like the Atlas. The R Line package really makes a big difference as far as looks go. Congrats man! Its nice to get some positive feedback from people about there vehicles.

Nice. Can you a full nighttime vid of 2018 chevy traverse again. Would like all exterior and interior lights when it's fully dark.
Thanks for watching. Yes I will reshoot the New Traverse again when its fully dark like in this video, but like I said that Chevy store closes by 7pm and its still light outside. They would have to let me borrow the car for the night in order to do that right now. I'll see what I can find out tho. later, Chad

You Never showed the GPS Map and how it goes in the middle between the Speedo?
Hey Jim, I've been driving a Tiguan SEL Premium over the past few day now. I'll see what I can do about making a video showing that. I was playing around with the car yesterday trying to figure that out, but did not have much luck. its was just coming a compass on the digital cockpit, not a full navi display.
Is there ambient lighting on the rear doors ? Or just only on the front doors ?
Does the front camera stays on while moving?

lol he's only 15 years old. His Dad is the General Manager at the Dealership so in the summertime he's been working at the store, but yes he did a great job and made it a little more fun.

The added comments we all could do without, I think this is the reason A-I is going to be so progressive Maybe if you had a script to follow, this would make it better to understand--IN OTHER WORDS just let the viewer make their own opinions this would help sell the product other than trusting a wanna be sales person
Sid, I'm not a wanna be sales person. I've been selling cars at the car lot for over 15 years now. Your welcome to your own opinion, but I'm also welcome to give my own about any car that I film. Many people watch my reviews to see what I have to say and enjoy checking out the cars. I'm okay with people making criticism of my reviews like you've done, but again my father was a salesman and it runs in my blood like gasoline in a vehicle. Chad

actually its not a tiguan.. it is the tiguan-allspace, the tiguan is much much smaller!
My only complaint is this: It really doesn't look like there's much passenger room. You guys seemed awfully close together. Almost shoulder-to-shoulder/arm-to-arm.
PREMIUM?!?! I have a 2020 SEL Tiguan and they told me that was top of line trim. Wtf?!?! Mine does not have full LED. So the only diff is full LED? Mine has same rims.
Besides the full LED headlights, you get the surround view camera, fender audio system, hands-free tailgate(I don’t know if it’s offered on the SEL or not), and power-folding mirrors. I’m also considering this vehicle and have been doing research on it for a while now.
what’s the gas mileage
Needs Amber rear indicators and NOT using the brake lights.

SteveB BKNY sure it is. There's just a size requirement for how big the indicator needs to be. This just doesn't meet that requirement.

This has Dynamic Light Assist? How does does it react to other vehicles?
great questions I don't believe it reacts to other vehicles at all? Maybe I don't understand your question Stacey?
@@CarolinaCarVideos it should dim the brights selectively so you can keep them on without dazzling people, was hoping to see it in action here, but maybe this vehicle didn't have it. From the UK SEL spec: "Dynamic Light Assist. Automatic sensors detect other road users and mask part of the main beam headlights appropriately. If dazzling road users cannot be prevented, light distribution is automatically set to dipped beam." It's called "Adaptive Front-lighting System" in the US spec I think? You should see the beam pattern change when there are vehicles in front, best on unlit roads.
stacey_p UK spec Tiguans, as well as other VAG cars with the ability, can selectively dip certain parts of the high beam to not blind oncoming cars. US regulations don’t allow that, so in the US it is simplified to what amounts to just High Beam Assist. Over I believe 40 mph your brights automatically come on and are automatically dipped if a car is detected. None of the cool wizardry the rest of the world gets.
When is the r line going to be available?
Hey Marcel, I have not heard any news of when the R Line Tiguan will be available yet. I'll be sure to ask the team at the dealership when I'm there this week. Maybe the New Car Manager will know. I'll keep you posted. Chad
