Dubai International Airport suffers huge delays amid heavy storms

Dubai International Airport saw huge delays on Wednesday as heavy rain continued to batter the Gulf states.
The world’s second-busiest airport has called for passengers to not arrive due to huge flooding across the city.
The airport has stated it is facing “very challenging conditions,” with almost 300 flights to and from the airport cancelled on Wednesday.
Dubai International Airport, which had over 80 million people served in 2023, has warned customers that recovery will take “some time”.
The death toll in the country has risen to 19 at the time of reporting, according to BBC News.
Authorities have also warned of more thunderstorms, heavy rain and winds expected in the coming days.
