yes its true for some specific states like in WB...you won't lose your State PG quota if you can prove your home state domicile. Now Aiims also has its own quota. So, double benefit !

AIIMS offers you with better academics, better accomodation , and AIIMS gkp also has great patient load catering to eastern up , Bihar and nepal (the best among gen-3 AIIMS ) . I agree ki big cities are comfortable live in but AIIMS & JIPMER have its own tag when it comes to delivering best education in the country. FYI most of the AIIMS and two JIPMER are located in tier 2/3 cities only .
