This was just amazing! I love your channel. Both of you are real genuine people. Seeing you work together is so relaxing for me. Guys I’m 74 and I was out cutting a big cedar tree blown over by Helena. It fell up a berm to I was working up hill all day. Love the team, can’t wait to see them work together!

Liked the video, thanks. Especially liked seeing Sampson & Jasper and the fantastic progress you’re getting from them, their good boys eh? God bless, look forward to your next footage. Ttyl, Wallace Farm & Sawmill rocks 🤘🙂👍
Dear Wallis, I am sending you a link from a Belgian who works with his draft horses. Pay particular attention to how the reins are attached to the harness. When you are working with the horse, the reins should run upwards for the mouth contact of the bit. Good luck.
Good horses! A little tip if you don't mind, from 50+ years of draft horses...always run your lines up through the hame rings and then back. It'll keep you from getting in a wreck someday, plus it gives a better signal to the horse's mouth. When I"m working a horse single, I also have a hip ring for the lines, and keep them slung over my shoulder, never wrapped around my neck.
The lines were through the hame rings, another person said the same. Idk why it appeared otherwise. Thanks for looking out though! Always appreciate tips!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill It happens!! I've made plenty of mistakes over the years! It's nice to see younger people that want to get involved with the horses!! Keep up the good work!!
Your boards look good but I would have put the horizontal boards on 2 foot centers especially if they are only 1 inch thick. In my younger years we had a sled like that but our horse was not that big. Have fun and stay safe!
Really good video. Y'all might wanna check out Working horses with Jim. Him and his wife use draft horse's on their farm up North. Very good people and pretty informative.
Just a tip for you guys. Nail the boards just in the middle, with the cup side facing the wall. That will prevent the boards from splitting when they start to shrink, The batten also gets fixed in its middle and that allows the board to move while it shrinks when it dries.
I second that! Those poplar boards will shrink about 3/8” and will split if nailed on the edges. I just milled a bunch of these and sided my mill shed and just in one month they have shrunk a lot but I screwed them in the center and I’ll go back and get the outer edges when I batten them.
Nice horses run them lines through the upper rings on the hames. Gather up the slack lines in your dominant hand when you’re driving don’t have them laying around your neck.
Power saw cuts are nasty buggers and take a long time to heal; experience talking here. Wear some chaps and proper boots whenever you run a saw, and throw in a hard hat and visor. Really enjoy your channel, stay safe!👍Nova Scotia
I am curious you guys why did you choose the popular. What is it because that’s what you had, or some other reason. I am not familiar with poplar as a building material whether it’s siding or two by fours or other stuff. God bless.🇨🇦✌️
It is so nice to see a husband and wife team that can work together
Thanks so much!!!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill a good clever wife. is worth her Wight in gold, look after them . dont abuse them .
Great video. The power of teamwork is evident. 👍👏🇺🇸🚜

Enjoy watching y'all work. Look forward to your next video.
Great stuff you two. What a lifestyle,
Thanks for watching!
That clear poplar is too nice for siding. Beautiful stuff. It would be wonderful interior trim/millwork.

Excellent job, as usual 😆
Great to see you working horses. Great video, Ty.
God job y`all. That`s interesting how one horse gets sweated up from separation anxiety. Brit is one hard working gal too.
Agreed!
Great team work. Like watching you all working the horse

Works well! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Love it when you include the horses. And as another commented "You two make a great team"!
I look forward to every one of your videos. Brit looked like a veteran horse handler out there today!

Miss Brittany handles the horses pretty good .
A couple like that is few and far between. Wish there was a more like her.
Love it!!

Liked it.

Beautiful horse's. How about a tour of the property.
Good video. Sounds like your log turner pivot joint still need some lube.

Loved the horse work. You got four horses round the barn, Jasper and Samson- who are the other two?
That son of y’all’s looks big enough to be helping around the farm. I’ve yet to see him pick up the first board for his horse barn.

Tyler there's a channel called working horses with Jim it's a great channel and he also does logging with his horses and runs a sawmill and farms.

Great video. I noticed that the camera was not very clear in the beginning. Best wishes.
Curious how long popular will last as a siding, l don't have any idea.
Will you need to flash between lower wall and roof
Yes, that is the plan.
What air base are you close to ?

Gee the cleaning fairy’s are slack cleaning up under the edger😬
Are you going to put any sort of insulation in th4 barn?
Have you ever did boards on roof instead of steel?
Do Yall burn the slabs
Quick question Tyler....... Who listens better to verbal (voice) commands, Brit or the horses
Do you have Tamarack in your Area

What we had available! It is used often in the south as a siding as well.
These logs were not dried out were they?
G=right Haw -left
I forget, what is Aiden's horse's name?
How come we haven't met the other horses yet? I see 3 maybe 4 other horses 🐎 😂I went back and looked you have 4 horses?😂
5 actually. Soon!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill 😱😱😱 i can't wait!
