Been a while since the last time I see reactors reacted to KZ's Rolling In The Deep, and yours here succeeded in reminding me how awesome KZ is. Yes KZ is a little badass, she arranged all of her songs she sang in the contest to be completely her own. She has a vocal problem in the past that unfortunately stopped her from being able to belt high notes anymore.

KZ got problem in her throat before she became pro-singer. She almost quit singing because she can't hit high notes anymore; like she can't even sing the song she used to sing before. But she still wanna sing, then she decided to create her own style of singing to fit in her ability and voice with the help of her family, that's why she have UNIQUE style of singing.
When she sing other's song, she really revised and changed the song to fit for her, and she indeed, like she owns the song.
KZ is such a UNIQUE.

She's a national treasure in her country. Coming from very humble beginnings and has a very unique, unmistakable trademark that is hard to duplicate, with this much precision. Listening to her perform with her orchestra or band is very special. I think all of her musicians enjoy her artistic style and vibe and they have a special synergy that makes their combined efforts so exciting and memorable. You cannot leave her performances without saying, now that's worth every minute of my life to be there, live in person and to actually witness the excitement, vibe and interaction of her fans. She owns the stage and I will never forget this moment and thrill of a lifetime. Just watching this video being replayed gives me goosebumps. Your comments are so professional and I can honestly say that you know your profession very well. Thanks for sharing this moment.
She definitely owned the stage and the song by rearranging it with a rap in Pilipino which she did extremely well. KZ is amazing!

KZ is one of those artists who takes her art very seriously. She almost stopped singing because of polyp, and I, as a fan, am glad she didn't.
The rap was actually in Filipino, and it was very good and clear.

KZ proved just how great an artist she is by painting this song in such broad strokes that she totally made it her own!!! She is incredible!!!! I've watched so many vocal coaches reacting on YT. But this channel is one of my favorite, She's using correct words in layman's terms, She communicate with passion and keep abreast of the current style of expression. Speeches well and always pepper with interesting examples to drive home her points in a clear manner , stamped with her specific personal style to be memorable. ☑👏💫💚✌️

I enjoyed your reaction to this song as always. KZis a great singer for sure. Personally, I don't care for autotune or rapping, so those parts of the song were ehh, but the rest of it was awesome!! I thought it was really cool that she was so active and kept her singing together at the same time. Perhaps not sustaining notes allowed her the opportunity to sneak a bit of a breath because she was burning oxygen moving around so much. Moving all over the place while singing is really cool when the singer can get enough air to maintain their strength, KZ did that in this song without a doubt. This was an energetic performance for sure! Stay safe Katriinka.
I agree! energetic and fast performances are difficult for breath control, focus, overall being able to stay composed and not loosing yourself. She managed perfectly! :)

Some fact that KZ had nodules on her throat before. She's once a belter but when she diagnosed with nodules, her voice now is really blow minding.

Absolutely total performance
Singer 2018 has some great singers, I would recommend KZ, Jessie J and Hua Chenyu. Hua Chenyu is/was my favourite he also raps and sings and they became each other’s fan. Hua Hua ended second in Singer 2018 (Jessie J ended first).
And I don’t like effects on an entire song but I love it when it’s just for the beginning to give us a mood.
You should watch also the chinese song she did in that event ( the pain you never knew ). Shes amazing singer from the philippines. I realy like her and her style in singing😊

Just so you know, the auto tune at the beginning was an artistic choice. KZ is not only a singer, she's an artist. Her rendition of rolling in the deep in this instance is almost theatrical.
Here's my take on her performance which I believe has several creative layers: interpretation of the story in the song, melodic changes, vocal style, and stage presence. I want to share what I feel about how KZ interpreted the story.
The creative decision to start with an acoustic guitar and then the utilization of the auto tune is pure genius. The guitar implies romance that rolled into some sort of a bubble as soon as KZ begin singing with the auto tune. The transition is confusing- acoustic to auto tune - exactly what KZ wants to evoke (what happened after she gave her all in love?). The robotic sound effected by the auto tune is a reference for manipulation as KZ (who feels treated like a robot) sings "you played it... you played..." while standing still in that dark stage, her facial expression is sad and defeated. She wanted to break away from this unfortunate state.When KZ belts out a sustained note with the auto tune, that signals breaking away from the dark - she pushed it away (see her hand gesture before the sustained belt). The camera moved and rolled (underline rolled). The stage is now filled with streaks of light. She's free! She's no longer sad. But she's angry because something beautiful is all put to waste.
It takes a technical vocal skill to utilize an auto tune in a live performance especially when KZ is clear what feeling she wants to communicate with her audience. KZ "owned" this song right in the very beginning. The rap is just a bonus. My two cents.

I saw that you noticed Jessie J who won that season in 2018, the year after Dimash competed. But each episode is judged and KZ won this episode.
