it's worth noting that this is useful for the 2001-2005 Sedona... the option that Kia tries to sell you: is to buy and replace the upper mounting bracket and shock as an assembly. At $180 per side... I think not. Following this video and buying the shocks from Rock Auto at $30 per side.. yeah the choice is easy.
You can use a 17 mm socket, you made need a breaker bar,or what I usually use is a good size pipe that will fit over the ratchet for extra torque, don't forget when done use whichever you use to retighten with same force, thx for watching video
The rubber ring holding those 2 plates apart wore away on my van, and an ungodly rattle continues while I drive. Where can I buy? Or should I replace? Or any handy tricks?
Awesome Cool Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks for this. I was thinking about replacing the shocks on my 05 Sedona, now I know how. Go Steelers!
Thanks and yes.

if you need vice grips to remove old nut how do you keep new shock from spinning when you install? thx
The grips are for removal because of the torque pressure
