17 yrs ago when this came out my oldest daughter was 8. She loved singing this song. Had no fear, she sang it in our towns homemade American Idol contest. So beautiful it would give me goosebumps.

I'm driving home this comes on radio. Sends goosebumps up and down me. Has me crying. I am now raising my daughters 5 yr old daughter. My daughter is and has been fighting addiction and mental health. I am so scared of losing my daughter. She just celebrated her 25th birthday Monday. I just sent her this song. Told her how I loved hearing her singing it when she was a young lil girl. And i told her now I just wish she would do as song says and throw her hands in the air, ask Jesus to take the wheel....

Thankful Jesus took the wheel yesterday. My 6 children were in a 100mph wind thunderstorm and a large tree fell on us shattering windows and damaging the vehicle. But GOD! I asked for his protection and he did it, i was able to drive through the storm to my home with little visibility Get my children to shelter and no one was serioulsy injured. Gods grace kept us here 1 more day

This song came out the year I got clean, the year I had my baby.
It may sound silly but when you have lost everything that means anything to you music becomes your only friend.
I wasnt sure if Jesus even liked me at that point but I asked for his help anyway.
This is the year that I rebuilt my life and this song will always take me back to that time of feeling so vulnerable, so scared, yet still so hopeful.
My baby is 14 years old now and we have the best life ever. It took a lot of work but we made it.
Sometimes you just have to let go and trust God, Jesus or your higher power because sometimes what we are holding on to are all the wrong things.

we had a similar experience as my wife and I topped the hill after dark on a gravel road there was a truck directly 10 feet in front of. Jesus took my hands and steered our car to the right threw the ditch up a hill and back on the road. This reminded us of this wonderful song THANKS ❤❤

Way before this song, I would wait for all to be asleep, sit quietly under a crucifix and ask God to catch me. One night I was so tired I went to bed without praying. My toddler son came over to my bedside and made sure I sat at my prayer spot before he headed back to bed. Both my sons have been my strength. Like the other calling me just as I walked along the beach because I needed some solace. These memories are triggered by this song. I now have 5 grandchildren and find them just as connected to others and to God.

I am a grandmother who had my first two granddaughter s to die from lupus. One from a rare cancer and the other from a heart disease.
When my second died I fell to my knees and cried out Lord take the wheel. I knew I knew I could not go through this alone. This, the song got me through the first week. The God I serve is so GOOD.
Everytime I hear this song, I tear up. There were so many times that I called to Him especially when I'm down or faced with a difficult situation but eventually forgets to call him when I am well and happy. But despite that, HE remained loving and merciful and still blesses me. Today, I am hearing this song, calling out on HIM not because I wanted to ask a favor, but I just wanted to take this moment to thank you Lord Jesus for the happiness and the sadness because both of these strengthened my faith and believe that you do exist.

But sometimes there are some things that are out of our control, and it’s all a matter of managing it and leaving the rest to Jesus. i’m realizing this as I’m dictating. Everything that I’ve been through has been used for lessons that I’ve had to learn over the years. What I saw as wasted opportunities was actually an opportunity to grow. It all makes sense now and I can’t wait to see how much I’ve grown in a years time. i’m a perfectionist, so I’ve had to learn that We all make mistakes, but we just have to learn to accept Jesus forgiveness. I also believe that Jesus is using my blindness, and my mental health struggles to inspire other people.

Amen. As a kid whose parents just got divorced I can relate. My mom is incredible but my Dad abused us and then denied to our faces. There was a lot of other stuff too but I'm still standing. Thank goodness for God's unconditional love. What would we do without it. For anyone reading this whose going through a rough time God bless you. You will get through it. God doesn't give you anything that you aren't strong enough for. Even so, he still gives you help because that's whp he is.
