The latest in Fujifilm’s triple-digit megapixel count medium format cameras has arrived - the Fujifilm GFX100 II. But, despite the II in the name, Fujifilm overhauled almost everything about the original, from the sensor, processor, and autofocus system down to an entirely new body. The Fujifilm GFX100 II isn’t a minor generational update. For starters, Fujifilm insists that the II is pronounced “the second” like a regal generational name rather than a junior and definitely not two or mark two. Despite the upgrades, the second generation also comes with a lower price point.
Hi Laz, I'm yet to see samples of full body portraits with 55 outdoors from early reviews with plenty of depth, ie model not up against a wall, I'd like to see what sort of 3D pop the lens gives, like a bride out in a field. Seems most early reviewers want to shoot in closer, love to see some variety as I'd most likely use this as an environmental portrait lens.
Hi Trev, I’ve actually got examples of shots exactly what you’re looking for in my 2 latest videos - I think you’ll be very impressed. It feels like the mitakon 65mm if you know the reputation of that lens, but with stellar autofocus
Honestly I think Fuji has the best colours maybe with the exception of hasselblad, but with a bit of tweaking you can get incredible results. This particular camera, especially with the new reala-ace film simulation is so beautiful straight out of camera.
Ha sorry, I wasn't shooting with it so didn't need it. It's a typical lens hood but I guess you would actually want to see what it looks like! Good feedback, thank you!
Only Canon uses the "Mark" designation. It's GFX "100 Two" or GFX "100 The Second". Every Fuji Japan employee on the release day stream said "100 Two" and a Fuji USA technical expert said "100 The Second". Both are right but the latter is formal so most people will say "100 Two".
Very informativ to see how to open a box and take out a camera
Verrry interested in this one. Thanks for the video
Congrats 🎉

@@lazsmith yes the mitakon look is exactly what many have their fingers crossed for.
How are the colors with this camera. I had the xt3 and i hated the colors straight out of camera when shooting raw.

Why would I need a ethernet port for tethering? Thought that's the USB-C for. Thanks!
Ha you can use either! just a good feature to have, but it's more specific to professional workflows
@@lazsmith Thanks! Is there any advantage to the ethernet port?
@@DavWoeIs ethernet not actually faster?
@@DavWoe Usb has maximum length 5 meter. Ethernet can goes up to 100 meter.
Thanks! Is there also a speed increase?@@gimkim

Concerned about the colors that this camera offers, what do you think of Fujifilm’s colors?
It's literally the reason I moved to Fuji. The colours are gorgeous and very true to life.
@@lazsmith You have to see some photographs to analyze the colors, without editing in any program.
I think my HB x2d 100c better than this gfx100 ii
Skipped, bored
Why no one is using the lens hood? So stupid 🤦♂
Ha sorry, I wasn't shooting with it so didn't need it. It's a typical lens hood but I guess you would actually want to see what it looks like!
Good feedback, thank you!
I never use one.
Not 100s as you said many times. It is 100 Mark II
Ha yes sorry I got confused a couple of times. I currently shoot with the 100s so I’m so used to saying it! Thanks for watching!

“This is an amazing package right here.”
Yep, there’s £9,300 right there 😳
@@chloescanlon1107 in my defence, I didn’t say it was cheap 😂
