If you pour straight isopropyl alcohol on it and scrub it will come right out. However you should spot check your clothes with the alcohol first to ensure it won’t remove any clothing color. Then I would hand wash or washer the item by itself immediately

I only tried it on white clothes..so if your sweater is white, then Ill try it. It might have set in good though if it has been there for a month...and the stain is set if you have washed and placed the sweater in a dryer.

just fyi... you can put it on and let it sit in your dirty laundry. when you wash your clothes it will be gone.
Does the ink have to be fresh?
It will be easier to remove if the ink is fresh. It will not work if the item has been washed and placed in a dryer..the dryer will set the stain in.

Lol...I know right...but it is actually the alcohol/solvent content on the hair spray that helps with the removal of ink stains.

No, it doesn't have to be. A clean cloth will do the trick too.

I haven't tried it personally. You can try it out on a small area of your shirt first and make sure that it doesn't bleach out the color.
