Sailing small crafts are the most fun you can have on water! And a dip or two while doing so is part of it! Looks absolutly magnificent, take a lap for me too! 🥳
My pal Craig Walker and I flipped his dad's home-built Hobbie 14 ( 4 mm mahogany plywood) on Lake Tahoe CA. The lake is know for its sudden wind gusts and we got caught while flying a wing :) we had it turned back over and sailing again in a few minutes just like you did in the video :)
Memories of being bit by the sailing bug by accident when I was early 20's, that led me to finding a cheap Hobie 16 in need of repair as my first sailboat coming from much experience in powerboats on Puget Sound. I knew that boat was seaworthy on Puget Sound on the bays too. Over the next year that Hobie 16 proved that what I thought I knew about boats was wrong. It took a year to learn how to communicate with that boat without getting dunked for failure to communicate. That Hobie 16 was a wee bit of a learning curve and really not all that pack-able nor terror free nor was it a good starter sailboat. A Hobie 16 compared to any MiniCat is comparing a bicycle to a sports car. But that's not what were talking about. It's just about having fun and the design philosophy of those pack-able easy to deal with and certainly more versatile inflatable cats look like fun; and totally Puget Sound capable. But obviously that design principle isn't going to win any impromptu races against any Puget Sound super-ferries. But it would be fun to try; and that's what it's all about. And it would be a lot safer too. I miss my Hobie 16 #6942 that I retired to being converted into a plywood laden small lake boat powered by a small outboard. It's still fun to use in other ways. Retired because I wanted something that had a private bathroom instead of 'direct deposit' as well as something where less swimming would happen if I made a mistake. I miss how much a small lightweight boat communicates to those who are willing to listen. Because that's what being bit by the sailing bug is all about. Those minicat's look like fun.
It has always amazed me when a sailor just arrived from a weeks long ocean passage, rig their sailing dinghy and spends the whole day tacking across the bay. ... Shouldn't I consider a sail for my next workhorse dinghy?
So cool and finally a brand new catamaran I can afford. 😂👍🙏✌️
I have tried it. It's great fun.

Looks fun , nothing like the feel of sailing a small craft to give you emphases of handling a bigger one.
Mooie impressie, zo van boven. Volop Minicat fun!

I have a Hobbie Cat 14 for about 40 years. A lot of fun at the Itapema Bay - Santa Catarina - Brazil

Best fun ever!
I feel like this video is a good example of the risks when doing something new...and the ability to get back on your feet (or boat, haha)
That looks incredible fun

Minicat Series are the only Way to Sail...Gone from Monaco to Corsica in One single Strike... Lol !
Super, spelevaren met een superluchtbed! (Vroeger hadden we niet anders!)
