    This course for registered studies in the Vilnius LLM international law programme introduces students to some specialized topics of public international law, including the recognition of states, special territorial status, jurisdiction of states, the International Court of Justice, international crimes and International Criminal Courts, regional protection of human rights and the European Court of Human Rights, preventive measures/ sanctions and the European Court of Justice, state responsability, expropriation of foreign property and expulsion of aliens by a state.
    The goal is to provide students with international public law literacy and to put them in a position to debate questions about international public law.
    In addition to the online tutorials based on M.N. Shaw 'International Law', registered students get study text materials, coursework and reading assignments to help them get insights in the field of international public law.
