    when you think that a cow is just lugging around its meat in order for it to stay fresh until you are ready to slauughter and eat it, and you don't see the value that the cow produces for the world by being alive. (Is it calmness that it contributes? is it kindness ? I once watched a cow give birth. It was so kind to its new baby) Is it tolerating flies and enjoying grass?
    We actually all gain, as an eco-system from that cow (assuming it's healthy) just being alive, and that is not to say no-one should eat meat.
    Well now add people to the mix. How much do you and your body contribute to the world, just by being alive? What is your body doing all day long, even while you're busy at your computer? Does your body just digest your food, or be the prop for you to sit with? Or does it interact with the world around you? Does it contribute to the room you're in, and the people nearby? Does it help you create your longer term goals? Does it remind you when to change tracks? Does it guide you what and when to eat and sleep and walk?
    or it just a lump of meat!
