Perfect timing. Mitsubishi made great printers, but they are no longer developing or updating drivers and time to look for new printers going forward. Glad I could help.
thanks for the good advice. do you know any methods or programmes i can use to print photos directly from photobooth / camera to paper with a premade template? so the end goal is to be able to send the picture straight to the printer and have it come out inside a template. hope this makes sense
Rex I just happen to come across your video and I loved it! I was looking at the cube but then the bonus the ds40 thank you for that man!!! Question I'm looking to start a photobooth I use my iPad do you have a video on connecting an iPad up to that device?
Thank you for taking your time to explain this- I have a QW410 and a DNP620A. For some reason the QW410 prints seem to look a bit sharper with nicer colors when compared to the 620a.
Thanks for the video , can you give me a link to buy media for the DS40 in the states ? I have 2 printers , and they have discontinued media in Australia... would be much appreciated. Thanks
I believe the A signifies its America unit. They do have DNP 620 in other countries. It’s possible the voltages may be different. If you are in the US , you want to get the 620A spec
Hey Rex great breakdown. I just got a Photo Booth from ATA and mainly want to use it for private events/weddings/sweet16s etc. i was leaning towards the DS620A but see some mixed reviews on jamming/ errors. The Rx1 seems to be the go to for a lot of Photo Booth companies and the work horse, would you just suggest I stick to the standard? I’m just wondering if I get better pricing at running 700 prints on the Rx1 as opposed to 400 on the 620. Not too familiar with ribbon price, thanks for the input
@@Rexsphotoboothreviews Hi, I clicked the link but it just brings me back to this original video to which is the best Photo Booth printer. Not sure If you sent the wrong link but prefer to know where I get my better bang for my buck when it comes to buying media kit for either the 620 or the RX1. I don’t mind the weight too much, but want more reliability, less jams, errors, etc
@@Rexsphotoboothreviewsthank you I subscribed and liked. I didn’t get the answer on that new link but great info. Best way to word it is if I’m using an iPad Photo Booth that also works with a camera, have you heard more issues coming from DNP 620 compared to the RX1? Are you saving more when you purchase media kit for the 620 vs the Rx1? I will be using it for medium size weddings and sweet 16s, most under 150 people in attendance.
@@djjohnnyp2700 rx1, 620a, qw410 are all equal in quality. As I explained in the video. Rx1 holds the most prints without having to stop at an event and change paper. 620a is the fastest. Qw410 is the lightest and only holds 150 prints at one time.
700 prints per roll 1400 for a media kit. Media kit is $195 for the RX1… HiTi 525L is 500 prints per roll & 1,000 prints on a media kit… media kit on a HiTi P525L is about $105… I’m happy with my 525L’s
Hello! I just purchased a Hiti p525L and I’m having issues trying to connect from my laptop and iPad for Photo Booth . What app are you using to run yours?
I own two of them for roughly 7 years now and ran good for the first 3 years then started getting chip error, now I had to ship them each once to California from Philly to have them serviced, 500 bucks each time. Now one of them just went so now I’m looking for a new printer
$350 is a reasonable price. You can also get print counts aka mileage with software. imagingspectrum.com/blog/2017/03/get-a-print-counter-for-the-dnp-rx1rx1hs/
hello Rex, I am about to start my Photography business in Africa. I want to buy the DNP printer (DS40 & DNP DS-RX1 HS ). I am in Malaysia now. Do you sell your photo booth setup?
thanksfor the video
Glad it helped. Make sure to subscribe to the channel for more great tips
Very good information. Thanks
Thank you, like and subscribe for more great tips ;)
I do like your videos you have helped me a lot.
Glad I could help, pls keep the questions coming.
Can you sublimate pictures on to substrates with a heat press with that printer?
The printer doesn’t work like that. The printer is the heat press and it only prints on to the dnp media.
Not meant to be used in shirts jackets etc
That DS40 is a beast. I bought 2 of them 10 years ago and they're still going.....
They are workhorses!!!!
Great Video! I'm here because Mitsubishi has stopped upgrading the driver and software for Mac.

Thank you for the info on the DS40. I ordered a refurb from amazon 300 bucks. but 800 prints for 106 dollars. So good. Thanks

Not directly from camera.
But from camera to iPad / laptop with template to printer yes.

Could be a setting. 620A definitely every bit as good as the 410. It's their flagship printer and twice the price.
@Rexsphotoboothreviews I have them both on the original factory setting - but I'll look into it. Thanks
Thanks sir I appreciate your video.

Yes, look in the description of the video
Please do a full review on the DS40!
Yes, 🙌 went over the features of the ds40 towards the end of the video.
Great video rex , may i know if can we useing paper ribbon( media set) rx1 but use printer ds40?
@lfanfan-mx5ep with dnp printers, you need to use specific paper to your printer. Cannot mix and match
You missed the most important thing of printers, THE PRINT QUALITY !!!!!!!!!
