Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). XCOM 2 is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the 2012 award-winning strategy game of the year.
Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces. XCOM, the planet’s last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.
Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Here, a force gathers once again to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, and facing impossible odds, the remnant XCOM forces must find a way to ignite a global resistance, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.
XCOM ON THE RUN: Take command of the Avenger, an alien supply craft converted to XCOM’s mobile headquarters. New open-ended gameplay lets you decide where to guide your strike team, how to grow popular support, and when to combat enemy counter-operations.
RECRUIT RESISTANCE FIGHTERS: Five soldier classes, each with its own skill tree, let you create specific soldiers for your tactical plan.
TACTICAL GUERRILLA COMBAT: New gameplay systems offer more tactical flexibility in combat. Use concealment to ambush enemy patrols. Loot enemies for precious gear and artifacts. Rescue VIPs and save fallen comrades by carrying them to the extraction point.

You are so lucky that going into the final chamber removes negative status effects. You need to bring medkits wherever you go

Yeah .. totally unexpected that an enemy pod is waiting in the Chosen Stronghold room with the transporter. ^^
As soon as he said "We won't even need to fight the rest" Me: " Yeah, uh huh, except I bet there's a pod hiding in the corner of that room out of sight"
That room is never empty.
I feel like that maze section was a callback to original xcom alien base missions, they always had sections like that. Anyone else remember that?

It seems a tad glitchy since the larger enemies seemed to get quite stuck.
Of course. He plays the long range. If he used close combat with mechs and chemthrowers it'd be way easier

Enemies are always in the transportation room....ALWAYS.
I've not had them there a few times, but only when I had to go through literally every other single room in the stronghold to get to it.
Going to be a lot of singing in next episode with both Rapunzel and Tourist. LOL
And thus, the Chosen are no more.
We are in the endgame now.
What a comedy of errors.

31:24 the reason you are having such trouble with psionics is you are never siphoning will. It's a free action for a reason. You should literally be doing it every single turn an enemy is in range. You psi abilitys have a cost that you aren't taking care of with that provided ability. Use it and this won't be as much of an issue.

That does sound like something he'd enjoy.
I can see the majority of AOE heals not clearing statuses, but the medispray I feel should heal statuses as that's the only way a chemthrower paramedic can heal. It didn't look like Azteca could use the actual medkits to heal
It's intended because Chemthrowers have a different skill that does status cleansing, so it's by design.
@@Deadput Ah. And of course, Chris didn't see it/ didn't take it/didn't even think about what that meant.
I feel the spray is similar to the ones used in football. Can fix you a little, but can't do major medic things.

Truly the Chosen with the most style! He's last mistake was planning an attack on the Avanger. He clearly didn't want to be ignored and was either going down with an epic fight or causing as much chaotic trouble as he could. At the end of the day, he managed to accomplish both goals! Thanks for sending off the best parkour enthusiast in the awesome way that he deserved (best series ever)!!! 😁
Must say, I loved the maze craziness :D
I just realized, that since double tap is simply extra "shoot or overwatch action", it triggers the skill that gives overwatches on standard shots - meaning its in many cases better than rapid fire, that shoots twice in one action, but does not trigger those extra overwatch.
i think the hunter is most people's favourite chosen just cause of how much a scamp he is. such snarky lines, so self aware, so completely unbothered by most things. even his dying words are so in character. i'll miss him... kind of
Hey Chris, enjoying the campaign. However, I stumbled across a game for 60% off on GOG, the Medium. I know it has been around for about 4 years, but I missed it. I started and ran into a little trouble with the MAW when I found you had a playthrough, so I played during the day and watched your playthrough at night keeping you respectfully behind to not spoil anything, except that 4-digit code that I never would have guessed. A great game and a great playthrough. Watching your Remember Me playthrough while I wait for the next XCOM video.
You should really try to use soul merge with cyclic fire if you need it, plus 10 aim for all 3 shots.
Happy to see that all chosen all now dead, I really hated that wraith cannon bs. But it is what it is, good job commander

The hunter probably had the time of his life setting up that hedge maze. The poor mutons they were trapped in that corner of the hedge maze for weeks

Yeah, because it never happened that you ran into enemies in the transporter room, right? ;) There were a few very careless decisions on this mission.
And medkits instead of grenades on the final mission!

Well the detector gunship wrath cannon firing there was the worst of it. Also why did only two groups spawn in this chamber?
Yeah, that was a bit odd. I mean, the second spawns didn't happen cause he took the sarcophagus out before their spawn in turn. Maybe it was considering those 4 active as a group in that chamber by mistake?
