Good God old heads are worth their weight in gold. God bless the ones that are still with us. Ed Dickens gives them the proper respect these men deserve of course because he is a true gentleman. I had the honor to meet him and I say that with confidence.

Wow, that’s what you call living history. I say that was probably one of the highlife moments of Ed’s life. The old timers have been wanting to pass the torch for sometime and I’m glad there’s now someone there to receive it.

Me and my dad went to see the 4014 just before the move from the fairgrounds in California, but should up a day late, and they had a chain link fence around the whole train expedition. So we walked around the back side to see the old boy, Ed him self saw us and said would you like to come see it. So he unlocked the gate and gave us a tour of all the components they took off for the long travel back to Wyoming. Ed's a great guy, he knew that we both admired that locomotive as much as he does. Thanks Ed...

It amazes me that here is a guy who ran the BigBoy in the 50's and here he is saying he never thought he would see a BigBoy run again. I remember all the videos that said that it would never happen. So happy to see a BigBoy running in 2019.

Those guys are real treasures of the rial. Great stories. My grandpas and my wife granpa were both railroaders. My grandpa helped build and lay the tracks and my wifes grandpa was a engineer from the steam trains to the diesels. In fact the stop look listen was due to a crash my wifes granpa was involved in. Not his fault. Always remember its not the trains fault.
