How could 27 people dislike this wonderful composition and performance? The conductor, the orchestra, the chorus and the soloists gave a thrilling reading of this piece. And it being found in this section of You Tube the listeners knew it was classical sacred music. How could anyone not love it?
They don't know anything about music, they also don't know how this came to their page. They also don't patient to listen to anything. And even if they listen, it is not them so they only have one choice of disliking this beautiful performance.

I have enjoyed many videos of Stabat Mater and I must say this is most impressive. Not just the choir, soloists, orchestra and conductor, but the actual production was brilliant. I was moved to tears a bit too much. Bravo
Rossini's triumphant choral masterpiece, with beautiful soloist performances and superb chorus and orchestra, crisp and poignantly shaped under the superb direction of Orozco-Estrada. Amen fugue especially riveting.
Bravo Andre's. I would like to hear this same Rossini Stabat Mater performed in another hall where sound techs and acoustics permit listener to appreciate such a brilliant interpretation of this wonderful work. Maestro Andres is in full control, permitting his ideas to be transmitted to soloist, orchestra and chorus. One of the best performances that I have ever heard or performed.
Doug Bower - I heard this tonight at Kennedy Center. It was sublime. I had never heard this before. The other piece on the bill was Liszt Dante Symphony. If you like this, you will likely be in a state of rapture by the other. Let me know what you think. James Cecil
BUEN CORO BIÉN EQUILIBRADO, SOLISTAS NI SE DIGA MAS SOBRE TODO EXCELENTE DIRECCIÓN POR PARTE DE ANDRÉS OROZCO ESTRADA, FELICIDADES Y GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR !
Notwithstanding the horizontal stricture of the monastery the entire performance is really beautiful with heavenly voices of all the soloists and well-controlled sound of all the instruments. The tenor is particularly excellent!
A truly lovely performance of this exquisite work. Soloists are wonderful, especially the tenor and soprano. The conductor has adopted a lovely lilting pace. Thanks again.
I think Andrés Orozco-Estrada is here showing his credentials as one of today's best young conductors. The soloists are o.k., except for the soprano who I think is very good, but overall no match for those on the Pappano/Santa Cecilia Orch. recording.
I. Stabat mater dolorosa - Chor und Solisten ∙ 00:00 - 9:50 II. Cujus animam - Tenor ∙ 10:00 - 16:04 III. Quis est homo - Soprano and Mezzosopran ∙ 16:12 - 22:18 IV. Here, the acoustical imbalance between the orchestra and soloists (whom the orchestra dominates) make it difficult to assess how much “ping” Angelini has. He sang the “Cujus” in key but unlike Pavarotti and others, he did not hold the high D-flat beyond what the score specifies, so it’s hard to tell how well his voice “rings.”
It's hard to tell, given the acoustics of this venue, according to the next contributor. That has to be considered. The duet with alto and soprano was beautiful. They were equal in beauty of tone, musicianship and expressiveness. I loved the whole thing.
VI. Sancta mater - Solisten 00:31:00 Sancta Mater, istud agas, Crucifixi fige plagas Cordi meo valide. (Tenor sings: 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙤 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚, he replace an "i" for an "e"). Disaster.
Tenore Angelini. "Cuius animam gementem contrisTATAM... ", e no contrisTANTEM". I finali di frase, meno tronchi. Le "e" sugli acuti non dovrebbero essere delle "a". E le "u" non troppo "o"... Comunque bravo !
Interpretação nervosa demais…retrato da nossa época. Não acrescenta nada. E esses solistas não têm NENHUM senso de estilo ! O tenor berra o ré bemol igual um cabrito e não exprime nada. Escutem Giulini….
Excitingly conducted. *Rebeka* and *Angelini* and orchestra are truly excellent. The mezzo is very mediocre and Spotti, although he has a fine bass, is terribly boring. Considering that "Pro peccatis" is such a magnificently beautiful aria he manages to sound like he is reading a laundry list. How can one make so little of such glorious music??

Totally agree with you...

😊
Maybe they don't like it... it's as simple as that...

Superb performance of one of my favorite works. I sang this piece with my university choir. Loved it since then.
i'm singing this with my college choir too!
Many years ago, I sang it with my university choir also. 😊

C'est grandiose et sublime. Merci infiniment à tous et toutes!
Every section of this inspiring work is characterized by its own gorgeous melody. Rossini was a genius. I hate to see it end.
Bravo. Fntastic, beautiful performance of Rossini's work. Congratulations.
I am in the hunt for more works like this. I have found almost a handful recently. I look for wow! experiences. Got one here.

I recommend listening to Brahms: "Ein deutsches Requiem". Definitely one of the best pieces ever written!

Wonderful choir en solo singers. Beautiful performance.
Esecuzione perfetta. Mi ha entusiasmato molto .
Nagyszerű, csodálatos. Congratulations!
Did you see this piece performed in an air raid? Where and when? Maybe Ukraine? Tell us. Glad you lived to talk about it.

Bravi, bravissimi.
Enjoyed second time even better, than first!
Top uitvoering van alle solisten, onnavolgbaar, volgens mij!
Grand. Spectacular. Heavenly.
Superior performance.
perfect conducting. vibrant, vivid, passionate,
Bravo!!
Bravissimi
Quelle beauté…presque la perfection.
Even in religious music Rossini could not hide his flair for the comic, none more obvious in the quartet at 31:00
Wonderful tenor voice. Great perfotmance overall. Thanks to all who participitated. JW-RM6 Miller SD 57362..USA
Also very talented soprano.
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC
Woooooooouuuuuuu straordinario!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravísimo!!!

Goodness! Starting from 19:26, how long is the aisle of this church???
I"m not sure I like that "skipping tune" rhythm on the Pro Peccatis.
I'll have to go back and listen.
Why do today's tenors have no ring in their voice? They did in previous generations.
Here, the acoustical imbalance between the orchestra and soloists (whom the orchestra dominates) make it difficult to assess how much “ping” Angelini has. Well! The Inflammatus wasn't great.
Troppo moscio l'applauso finale.

Acacia Bloom on
what are you saying? Spotti is one of the best singer of the world… especially on this performance he is superb!
Spotti is a magnificent and very impressive singer!
@@nikadam4061 Yes, but boring! Just sings the notes with a beautiful voice
@@acacia-bloom No, he is not boring. His tone is beautiful. He gives life to the notes. And expressiveness to the pages.

I think the tenor is quite good. Beautiful tone, easy and musical upper register, sings with proper emotion for each section of this solo.
I agree with Shirley Rombough. I liked his singing of Cujus Animam very much.
