  • The Supreme Court is weighing Donald Trump’s immunity case after arguments Thursday. The claim of absolute immunity is one that both liberal and conservative justices seemed poised to reject.

The fact that the Supreme Court granted his wish to allow a delay in trials and has not given a clear and concise answer after collecting evidence just indicates that they are bought and paid for. This is getting beyond ridiculous. It is obvious that politicians must undergo moral and political scrutiny. This applies to anyone, regardless of position. Because seriously, unilateral decisions are the responsibility of each person, everything falls outside the scope of presidential immunity when the context of the offense is for one's own benefit. #Fiatjustitia
Why does it have to take months to decide what is obvious?

This is shame that the SCOTUS judges can't determine without a lengthy discussion what is "Official Duty" or "Private Act". I can ask my 4 year old daughter what is permissible and what is not based on house rules. Example: I will ask my daughter: Sweetheart, can you talk to strangers, can you lie, can you not do your homework before you go play? I will put my hand in fire and her answer will be NO. Therefore, if she does anything that are contrary to house rules, she knows she will be punished. So, SCOTUS, why can't you immediately decide that no one is above the law and presidents don't have immunity. What's the problem?

  • @jamesjohnson2072

Supposedly know what Man is above the law, but I guess several Supreme Court judges are this is ridiculous. How could some of those justice sit on this case when their family had direct involvement and overthrowing the government when Trump was being impeached his lawyer said once he’s out of office, then he could be charged now that he’s out of office he saying he has complete immunity, so that’s like saying the president can have his political opponent assassinated by the seal team if he feels their threat such as having classified material having to foreign entity, things like that and for the Supreme Court to sit here and debate on, this is a joke the government is all for Republicans and Democrats. I choose not to get into any more elections or politics because it doesn’t matter what the people say. It’s what certain people says that being the Supreme Court.

I don’t think the implications are solely impacting the U.S. Look at how many other countries (mostly developing) look up to the U.S. and try to model their system similar to ours. Giving absolute presidential immunity opens up doors for sitting presidents to commit genocide and full retribution against their political foes and god knows what else. In this particular case, We are talking about a man that quite literally looks up to and partial to autocracies. This is the way the country is going and frankly, all led by Donald Trump.
I’d be curious though, what happens if the court ruled in favor of absolute presidential immunity and Biden wins office again (although not likely)? This is a two way street…it’s not going to be in place for one sitting president and not the other. I can’t even believe this is up for debate. If the Supreme Court votes in favor of it, we will be one step closer to the new Russia.

I have a question? why is this a question? The Constitution has a pretty cleared out if the president does something that is unlawful it is for Congress to impeach them. It's not about supporting him or not it's about what the Constitution says. It falls on Congress to go ahead and be the determiners of what constitutes a crime thus the action of impeachment and removal of office is in place.

The Supreme Court Justices should remember, Proverbs 18:5, It's not good to show partiality to the wicked. Or to overthrow the righteous in judgment. Proverbs 18:7, A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Help Trump by sitting him down. You're not helping. His behavior today, is the outcome of people never telling him no.
