Vielen Dank lieber Stefan! Ich habe vor dem Video ein paar Stunden geübt. So einfach ist das nicht mit dem Schnur abziehen. Das Messer muss so eingeschlagen sein, dass der Messerrücken ganz wenig zum Abschlag schaut, sonst wird die Schnur beim Ziehen immer dünner und reisst ab. LG Felix

Schönes Video, das mit der Schnur mache ich ähnlich. Fand es besonders toll das Du die Bogensehne auch aus PET hergestellt hast. Wie immer ein gelungenes und lustig gemachtes Video.

genial wie immer und vor allem eine schöne arbeit die nicht so schweisstreibend ist wie der wikingerstuhl (muschkelkater) werd mich gleich auf den weg machen und ne horde lilla schokis jagen...ne spass beiseite bin gespannt ob der bogen taugt bzw,zieht..ich geb bescheid.

I have tried this just to see if would work when I lived up in the tropics. It's definitely strong once it's been heated so it shrinks. I didn't make anything, I just wrapped two sticks together but I have plans in my head to use it when/if I build my little cabin in the bush. Great video Felix. Thank you.

Kleiner Tipp:
Die Sehnenkerben am Bogen möglichst nicht auf dem Bogenrücken (Vorderseite) einschneiden, sondern seitlich. Der Bogenrücken steht beim Auszug unter maximaler Zugbelastung, und sollte deshalb möglichst unbeschädigt sein. Dort angebrachte Sehnenkerben (oder andere Beschädigungen) führen in der Regel dazu, dass sich der Rücken bei Belastung (früher oder später) zerlegt. Das kann bei vollem Auszug ziemlich unangenehm werden.

If you have a small bottle, 0,5l for example, you can shrink a ring of the bottle, this will be even stronger, strong enough to fix even something like broken handles on axes. All bottles start from a blank about the size of the threaded part, and you can shrink all bottles to a bit over the size of the neck, you just have to be careful not to burn it because it becomes brittle when it gets white bubbles. A 0,5l bottle shrinks down to about 4-5cm diameter very fast, bigger 1,5l bottles shrink to about 7cm diameter without much heat.
