In spring 2024, Sophie Emma Battell (2023-24 Linda Hall Library Fellow) and graduate students from the University of Zurich collaborated with Linda Hall Library staff to design a new online exhibition exploring the cultural history of the Sun during the long seventeenth century.
Join historians of astronomy Thomás Haddad and Nydia Pineda de Avila as they moderate a conversation with Sophie Emma Battell, Alessia Tami, Olivia Lanni, and Wilmari Claasen, the curatorial team behind The Sun in Early Modernity, as they consider how the Sun shaped the development of scientific knowledge and structured other aspects of human experience.
