AVAA: I heard someone describe BRAT as a night out at the club. 360 - you're getting ready to go out, hyping your friends, looking the mirror, etc. and the rest of the album follows the flow of feelings you go through throughout the evening. Seeing your crush (Talk Talk), reflecting on your friends who aren't there (So I), those weird introspective feelings that pop up as you embrace your, uh, inebriated mindset (Girl, So Confusing, I Think About It All the Time). It the peaks at you putting all that away to party - 365. With that, I really appreciate the focus of "the Album". That said, these tracks go. Also if she didn't release Spring Breakers ASAP, the Angels were gonna riot.

Love this channel was drawn in with Kendrick drake battle but stayed for the knowledge… I’ve listened to so much stuff now that I haven’t listen to before DITC on your videos 😂😂
AVAA: I knew you were going to drop an analysis for these three songs based on how much you loved the album. I am so glad you did. I always love whe artists drop special editions and try to unpack as to why they didn't make the cut. After your insight I def can see why in this case. Hell yeah
Thought these three tracks were as solid as anythng on the LP (btw you're not to old to get diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. James Carville got his diagnosis in his late 50s lol)
avaa, if you like the dare's production you might really like the artists snow strippers and the hellp, very much in the same kind of scene. also what time is the livestream gonna start tomorrow?
I love how you love Charli, Kim Petras, 100 GECS, and hyperpop in general and get it. I’m 47 and I get it too. You’re awesome. The GenXer in me loved when in your 100 Gecs review (almost positive) you said hyperpop is the punk of now. Perfect. It totally is! To quote Dj Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, “parents just don’t understand.” Lol
AVAA - Great title as always! I was hoping you’d drop a video on this after listening, I couldn’t help but think of your analysis and this addendum just captured my feelings perfectly. Side note - The Dare is fantastic! I was so happy to see that they co-produced Guess. His production and Charlie’s delivery are a match made in heaven. Lyrical and and sonically Guess is very similar to “The Sex EP” by The Dare. If you haven’t listened yet I totally recommend, I haven’t seen a lot of positive discourse online about their music. But I think there’s something deeper about the hedonistic, erotic, edm/indie sleaze on the rise in the last couple of years that you’re more equipped to dissect. And would love to get a few more niche references/jokes mixed with your music and philosophical lectures I keep coming back for!
we expected dlx tracks because during her roll out promo for brat, she would constantly tease little snippets of new songs such as ‘guess’ and ‘spring breakers’. also charli’s known for her all her leaks & demos, it’s no surprise when ever she teases these cult classic true charli tracks, the fans instantly gravitate and want more.
AVAA professor skye!!! I'd argue that Guess would have fit into brat as an album. we all have our interpretations of the album, and i felt the album was making fun for the most part of this bratty attitude. this self-absorbed, self-aggrandizing attitude. And I think Guess's playful energy would fit with songs like Von Dutch and 365. It would also be really funny to hear Guess and So I on the same album, but that's neither here nor there
for crash I thought the bonus tracks improved the album, for brat these bonus tracks are nice, but not needed. I'd actually prefer these to be on a ep, or tacked onto a remix album.
I've only recently been getting into the album and your videos provided interesting insight, AVAA! It's amazing to see you cover so many so fundamentally different albums in such detail, keep up the great work! Would love to see a review of a Mick Jenkins album like The Water[s] or The Patience.
Hi Professor Skye, do you take recommendations? There's this really really really underrated EP called Babaganush by a Brazilian underground rapper named Yung Vegan, he's a true intelectual, splicing artistic references and making commentary on art and society in his songs, He got more famous recently for his newest album Fetiche but Babaganush is probably his lyrical masterpiece, It's only 13 minutes long but I for sure listened to it for hours and I still find myself thinking about the lyrics I'll leave the lyrics for the first song Pamplona so it may or not peek your interest unfortunately since he's a very underrated artist a couple songs don't have any english translations out there but I'd be more than glad to translate the two songs myself (I have experience with translating The Boondocks comics to Brazilian Portuguese) Pamplona Abundance, in the material world The fever continues Flashing lights, fame, sex I detest art openings, runaway horse In a dense mist of dead filmmakers Violence and performance Cannibal gods, Godard Red Fate and synopsis All my life I've wanted a concise verse To love women, to feel alive Life has been cruel to me Dude, I'm feeling down, it's too much bad vibe War horse, a Van Gogh doppelgänger I'm saying fuck it Listening to Confessions on a Dance Floor I'm wearing Bvlgari perfume And I keep reading Michel Foucault I'll get up, ride a Caloi Confort bike I won't even invite her to watch the new Almodóvar In some cinema in Botafogo] Hype stuff messes with my stomach I lost sleep again So it can be seen by everyone London, Paris, Rome, Manhattan, Recife Tear gas and children crying Silver cutlery, gothic architecture, plastic pearls I walked through rubble, I walked through Augusta I saw paintings and sculptures at MASP Today I am a rarity in art history With a thousand layers of metalanguage listen to Madonna and say fuck it Unforgiving, untimely, a dose of cruelty Dreams, rain, gray, clear, insurmountable
AVAA, Professor Skye. can you do a video, sharing your thoughts on Kendrick's Unreleased song "Prayer", you can find it on RUclips, I just found about it last night and it's so beautiful, i think you'd enjoy listening to it and it would spark up some very interesting conversation
Big Boldy fan here, you should really check out "Manger on Mcnichols" by him and sterling toles. It is his most personal album and his most sonically interesting. The production is all over the place jazz rap and Boldy raps in deeper detail about his upbringing. I think it's one of the best albums of the past 30 years
brat yapping is my new fav genre of youtube (AVAA)
How did I just know you wouldn't be able to resist that title - premature AVAA, the last vid rules
I love your interpretation of talk talk, but charli said in a recent interview that it is about her and her fiancé during an NME award ceremony AAVA
I think Guess would do very, very well at pride for both the gals and the guys. I hear the song as gender neutral enough to be for everyone! AVAA!

Guess is my favorite song on the album :) for fans of eritca and sensuality, it’s a truly standout addition
Can't wait for Weird Al to cover this whole album in a completely insensitive Kazakh accent, titled "borat" of course

Pamplona
Abundance, in the material world
The fever continues
Flashing lights, fame, sex
I detest art openings, runaway horse
In a dense mist of dead filmmakers
Violence and performance
Cannibal gods, Godard Red
Fate and synopsis
All my life I've wanted a concise verse
To love women, to feel alive
Life has been cruel to me
Dude, I'm feeling down, it's too much bad vibe
War horse, a Van Gogh doppelgänger
I'm saying fuck it
Listening to Confessions on a Dance Floor
I'm wearing Bvlgari perfume
And I keep reading Michel Foucault
I'll get up, ride a Caloi Confort bike
I won't even invite her to watch the new Almodóvar
In some cinema in Botafogo]
Hype stuff messes with my stomach
I lost sleep again
So it can be seen by everyone
London, Paris, Rome, Manhattan, Recife
Tear gas and children crying
Silver cutlery, gothic architecture, plastic pearls
I walked through rubble, I walked through Augusta
I saw paintings and sculptures at MASP
Today I am a rarity in art history
With a thousand layers of metalanguage
listen to Madonna and say fuck it
Unforgiving, untimely, a dose of cruelty
Dreams, rain, gray, clear, insurmountable
you need to do the lorde remix track, so much to talk about there
as a fan of this album I would like to be called out of my mind
Sorry to jump into this review but you are going to be doing Goat Girl's Below The Waste right?
