    Hey group,
Bit of a video reload this time. We’re back at it filming from the holiday break and NOLS WFR Training. We’ve a number of projects coming up, but it is hard to explain just how excited I am for this coming spring! With the creek producing stronger than it has in a decade and some prospective desert oasis... get ready for a ton of Primitive Survival!
For those wondering, this is my daughter Bre. For those wondering what Scouting looks like in 2019, this is exhibit A. If you can, help support your local Scouting groups, the world needs leaders more than ever these days. For the Bob Hansler Survival Cards made by Grim Workshop visit the link: grimworkshop.ositracker.com/88448/7156
Hope everyone is well this new year. Take care and as always...
    Until Next Time,
    Bob Hansler

It's not that bad in AB. We have snow, AND bark. Also there is snow covered bark. If you look really hard though, there is also pine needles that you can make a very nice tea out of that only occasionally gives you intense intestinal discomfort followed by 3 hours of projectile diarrhea with difficulty controling body temperature.
I once heard someone say you can always forage for the calorie dense "yellow snow" covered bark, but I've yet to find any. Good luck surviving out there in the Canadian winter! And remember, if you dig yourself a snow drift shelter, you get the benefit of being partially buried when you die of hypothermia!
