I am quite confused as the highest resolution this video has to offer is 4k and not 8k, but also the fact that you wouldn't be able to watch this at 8k anyway, unless you had a 8k screen. Also are you playing on a 8k monitor (didn't realize those are out yet) or a more common, 8k TV?
1440P is great if u want high FPS or to use mid range cards.. if u have the GPU power why not to play at 4k ? it looks way better. what he did now was just a test to see what FPS he gets at 8K (with base resolution of 4K) few years from now some may actually test it on 8K display and 6090 or 7090 cards.
@@gametime4316 From the hours of benchmark videos I've watched what I've seen is that even the 4090(way overpriced) has a hard time maintaining decent FPS rates while everything is on Ultra. And it's generally not good to push your card as hard as possible. That's why 1440p is the sweet spot. You can get great framerate with top tier cards and your settings being very high. And let's not even talk about RT/PT...they destroy framerate on every card. More of a gimmick at this point, probably will become more reasonable as devs advance the implementation.
@@ShenMerrick One of the key features of playing in higher resolution is to get rid of jagged edges, some people do not care about them at all, but many people hate them. So using higher resolution helps getting rid of them.

Well, what's the point of 8k if DLSS is set to ultra performance? Ultra performance mode spoils the picture a lot, compared to other modes. The original resolution is 1080p in this format at 8k. Performance mode would be fine.
DLSS Ultra Performance mode was designed exactly for 8K resolution, and it is perfect for this resolution as it is rendering from 1440p internally. That's a lot of pixels for the algorithm to work with and produce a very good image quality. 8K DLSS Ultra Performance mode is actually better than 4K in terms of image quality.

@@rakhoo5236 1440p with dlss quality looks good. almost like native. and you don't even need a very powerful pc for this. i switched to 1440p + dlss from 3060ti. they say that 8gb of memory is very little. but i just set textures to high instead of ultra. and in most cases the performance is enough for me. the load is like with native 1080p without upscaling. and the image quality is much better.

my computer was the top of the top ROG family hardwares (more than 10k) with the best i9. Now i know how great the graphic would be if i play this game.

but its crazy that with a 1000k+ gpu you already need to reduce texture quality even that is a extrem senario for that price you should not have to do that

lol, internal resolution is 1440p in this case, and it is much much better than native 1440p after upscale

CPU temps jump to 90C, RTX 4080 is also CPU limited. Could use 32GB RAM aswell.
