The Aqara N200 is a N200 Smart Door Lock from XIAOMI Youpin - Its basically innovation in a door lock! Today we will take a look at all of its features also testing the Electronic Lock Cylinder on this Smart Door Lock.

Bear in mind, there is no option to disable auto lock in these aqara locks. You will need to authenticate every time to open even when your kids are just playing around in your home. I would say it’s great for apartments where you basically want to keep your door locked at all times. Such a shame for an otherwise really good smart lock. I bought this without realizing it as no reviewer seems to point this out very clearly.

Yes it's a feature that some people wish to have. .....just wanted to point out that if you really want you can jam the small metal part with tape. It's strong so you will need a lot of tape to keep it inside the lock, but if it's firmly pressed in it's place no sound will come out.
Just teach the kids not to play around with it, why would you always accomodate such behavior? 😂😂😂
Is it weatherproof, in order to be placed on a door where one part is outside and the other inside (house main door)?

I can't find any waterproof information, so I'll assume it is not waterproof.
It is mostly designed for apartments or houses with covered porch.
I bought mine from Gearbest and they told me it’s waterproof

Nice review. I actually installed this to my house and added it to my Mi Home app and exposed it to my Home app. I’m just a bit confused as i can’t seem to access it when I’m not home.

Thanks for the review, your video helped me to choose a smart lock. I have one question. Maybe I lost something about installation, but how do I stop the siren. I mean, I already take the batteries out, but when I put them again, the siren still there. I pressed the "reset button" for 5 and more seconds, but it doesn't work. What can I do?
Hey there’s a button under the silicon cover, which is supposed to be pressed against the door(when installed), if not the door detects tampering.
When you press the button on the top side, and insert the batteries, the alarm should go off, as long as u have it pressed.
Also besides this button that is mentioned above there is another "button" on mortise part of lock. At least on my version there is at least two of them. Also you probably didn't remove all the batteries because there is also lithium battery used as main source and those AA is just a back up.

the front panel was not compressed to the door, so had to tighten it further with the screws
I just installed this several days ago. Loving it. It's so convenient. Btw you can have 6-10 digits for the passcode.
How to determine left or right door opening? For eg you may have door that opens to the left or to the right?

@@citpw It was determined by the door hinge and the door handle position. However, the lock can be reversed and it is able to installed both side, so don't worry about that.

What's your position with privacy and security of data?
Fingerprints and passwords are restored in the lock memory. Other smart settings are in your Mi app.

I am a bit confused on inserting the rotating bar that will connects this center part with the handles, I hope you know what I am talking about, the rotating part that said "inner door" that has some popping part on one side.
Im not sure I understand 100% what you mean but all you have to do when switching from lets say left closure door to a right one is to rotate the handle 180 degrees and the top most movable bar - the latch to 180 degrees

Hi I installed my Aqara N200
I don’t know where I did wrong. I cannot seems to open from the outside handle. The handle doesn’t respond on opening the door mechanism. The fingerprint etc has unlocked it, it’s just the mechanic doesn’t open
Can you please tell me the thickness of the mortise? My door is not suitable for the instalation of the N200 (it is 35mn), but if the mortise is thin, i can get through.
It looks like the multipoints are only at the lock level. Most doors in the UK have a lock point at the top and the bottom of the door, and there are insurance constraints about it: can this or other Xiaomi smart door lock be used on such door?
Did you look into Nuki? It uses the existing lock in your door.

There is usb type c port on the outside. you can activate it with powerbank and unlock.

Could somebody help me? I try to setting it in Mexico, but app mi home doesn't works, how can i do? I have others devices installed but i can't with this. App don't find the model, scanning is not available, Bluetooth says it can't connect cause pin is not correct

I think it's auto lock. It just turning up the handle activate the deadbolt or some sort. Extra security. I THINK. Not too sure.
The fact that you can't lock it remotely without pulling up the handle is a deal breaker for me. Are there any other models that can do that?

Anyone help me? When I unlock with PIN or Fingerprint from the outside, it said unlocked but it doesn’t really mechanically unlock the physical lock. I hope that makes sense

There is option to switch it to English, but you need to select a region where you purchased the lock first. It will speak 🙊 to you in Mandarin? when you first get it.

Try using Siri Shortcuts and set automation to unlock using NFC. I think it can work with the NFC feature of this lock. I cant try as my iPhone X is too old. It needs iPhone XS and above

It doesn’t work properly with mija app. When I close the door manually, the app shows it doesn’t. I can’t close it with the app :( EDIT - It was a strike plate problem. Already OK👍

Wait.. About that stupid useless fingerprint locking feature.. Are you saying that right as I leave my flat for a minute, and come back and someone blocked it with too many bad attempts I cant get into my flat? Or will it recognize my fingerprint anyway? If not then will it at least accept my pin code? I dont intend on having the spare keys with me all the time, maybe at like parents house or something in case battery ran out, tho thats doubtful

Are there no issues using this lock outside mainland China? I know Xiaomi now have a somewhat bad reputation for requiring their device to connect with their servers and as they discover you are outside China it denies to activate the device in the application (if you are using the China version of product).
After the initial configuration can I use the device without the Xiaomi app installed?
Do you know is there a link for the door cutout template from the box? I've searched everywhere and could not find it and the company that will prepare custom doors for me asked if I could provide one beforehand :(
Pawel Borecki this is not a WiFi device and so you can't connect to their server or any server, at least not directly. What you do need is a Bluetooth gateway which needs to connect to a server. The lock can pretty much work on its own even without Bluetooth. You won't get notifications and status though
@@just4therecord Do you have the Bluetooth gateway connect to it? if yes, can you see who has entered(unlocked the door), also if you can lock and unlock from the app away from home?
CS CS yes I'm using my Xiaomi 2k pro camera as bt gateway. Can see who goes in and out. It's lock automatically but if you full want to latch it, you need to pull up the handle manually. Unlock from the app yes
@@just4therecord Thanks HGST, There is the N100 which is almost 60$ cheaper, but nothing is said about quality improvement in N200. Did you buy the N200 over the N100 for any special purpose?
CS CS design. I prefer the rectangular instead of a rounded look. There is also a new Mijia lock E. It’s like half the price of n200. The E model have an electronic admin lock.
