damn, this changes the entire scene. One of the reasons I hesitated there was that I thought that she wanted Lisa to die instead and was grieving about having to let go Enoch instead of her. Thanks for clarifying that.
Netzach's second theme that plays at the 16:28 mark is probably my favorite among all the Core Supression music, it's such a powerful theme. Netzach Did Nothing Wrong indeed, and it's nice to see him being a little more hopeful in the end. Depressed boi's story was the point in which I was sure the Player character was A, and I was put on that track by the previous story bits involving Yesod talking about embracing your past and Malkuth kind of passive-agressively describing her death to you. Netzach's disdain of the Player makes sense this way, and I take it he somehow found out about not being able to save Carmen (as you pointed out about one of his lines) and held you responsible for his meaningless sacrifice. There is also the fact he says "Leave me alone, that's what you're best at", seeing as A pretty much left him to die. Ouch. The only thing I feel to be missing from Netzach's story is some information about Giovanni, specifically from before he applied for the experiment. A says he always kept to himself, but was Giovanni already a depressed man and he found comfort in being able to save someone he cared about while abandoning the life he didn't enjoy? We can see the Sefirot inherit their personalities from their past lives, but I'd say the harsh reality behind his death would be enough to give Netzach a new, gloomy mindset. By the way, the "experiment" he mentions to have failed on in the last scene is the suicide method he describes during the prelude, involving an overdose of Enkephalin. Maybe you noticed, but maybe it wasn't clear enough. In the end, I quite like Netzach, and find him to have some of the most humorous moments in the game despite being known as the debbie downer. Tiphereth's story prelude is long indeed, and thankfully shows a new side to the sister who we've only known as "bitchy" up to this point. It'll be a while before you find out how things turned out for them, but heyyyyyyy, you'll be interacting with Chesed during that time (assuming you do his missions, of course).
It's really well made how their songs fit them and even though they are all so different, they also kinda hit a certain mood fitting the suppression (even though the Jazz we got for Hod last time cracked me up slightly). You're right. Absolutely. That's why I also think we're "some kinda" A or something. Or at least the same thing everytime "there is a new manager". In their eyes, it's like we don't change at all. And again, you're right. Most of Netzachs motivation seems to come out of left field, or more like, his wish to save someone. We don't know why though. Why is he there, was he a junior to Carmen and fell in love with her? Maybe he was jealous of A (I'm assuming A and Carmen had a close relationship), but still wanted to help him because he wanted Carmen to be "alive"(??) and "happy"(??). Again, I'm assuming a lot of stuff here, but... what we got, sadly, was a really sad Netzach that probably will never again go out of his way to save someone or anything in his robot-alien-life. Poor guy. Get that man some Enkephalin please. Of course I'll try to advance with Coffeeboy, if his missions aren't too ballbreaking that it. Because, Geburas is worse enough as it is, so I'll see whether I can do several of them at once (I'll try, probably fail, and then do them seperately)
Whew, getting back to it Seventh of the Sephirah, Netzach, Last of the Pillar of Mercy. Sephirah of Eternity, Sephirah of Victory. For even faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Perversion leads to emotional derangement, what is enduring strength: enduring vice, suffering. In Giovanni's case, he got caught in the usual trap of nihilism. There's only so much a person can do when subject to a mythical material that breaks people down. His suffering was primarily after era, and when left in the void, there's not much one can do, than suffer. It takes great strides to refuse it, and come back to life. In A's case, it takes a lot to walk the path of the soul that he is, even the people around him had to suffer. They suffered even if he did nothing, the Head had it in for him. What else was he to do than to assure the continuity of their good hopes, and promises? If the world refuses his stride, then he'll stumble through nine hells for eternity. When given nothing, and everything else is taken, there is not much one can rely on, but: Courageous Fortitude This is probably one of the weaker ones, but I reiterate the notion that Cogito, seen heretofore, seems to break people down physically (Elijah), and mentally (Giovanni) Someone who would sacrifice themselves unreasonably becoming so fearful of helping others? A strange perversion. What else to note is that B was around the time of Angela, after era. But what would A and B be making machines for? Otherwise, Angela said some interesting things: Why would A suffer painful longing, and irascible fury when he feels the sunlight and see trees? Just what is Lobotomy trying to remember? Further along, the Sweepers, and Cleaners are a bit different. Cleaners, are scavengers. Sweepers are special. Fixers are mercenaries. What is interesting is that Lobotomy was in a close relationship with a Fixer. I'm curious what happened to her. If Michelle caused the physical destruction of the former era, physically. I'd say Lisa and Enoch caused the mental. What is interesting is the parallels that Enoch and Lisa can bring to the table with other pairings of males and females in the setting. The you that is sometimes bold, and myself who can be sometimes cold. Oh and you are very much wrong, she cares a lot about them, unfortunately.
The little tidbid about sunlight and trees is interesting. Yet again I'm looking forward to re-reading all of the story and finding stuff like this, which should be way more obvious now to me
As Sinthesis pointed out the thing Carmen said was a mistranslation and probably the worst one when it comes to the story. There is another similarly bad translation for gameplay. The first Managerial Tip for O-02-98 says the exact opposite of what it is supposed to. Keep that in mind if you happen to pick that one up. Cleaners and Sweepers are the same thing. You would know them as the Blue noon. As for the Fixers you will know more about them eventually. I would also advise you to do Chesed missions as quickly as possible.
Damn, I hope I can remember that. O-02-98.. Yeah, whatever, either my mind has this saved now or I'll learn the hard way. This way it's definitely not your guys fault this time :^) I really do wonder what else is there on the outside world. And how it really looks. Guessing the reddish fog-thing we saw was a glimpse? Or maybe it's even worse? Anyway, yes, I'll do Chesed asap, don't worry. I'll try. I'll have a look at what he wants. M-maybe I can do it.
omg rewatching these moments are heartbreaking. Also, don't say that the video is boring. Because you have to take serious of lobotomy and I think you did great as a manager Try to catch up to your season 2 :3
Congrats on suppressing Netsach on your first try. It was actually a pretty clean run aside from the fact that Chloe had no way of healing everytime she worked White Knight. Good thing you had Hunter. The Tippereth twins's story is one of the saddest ones in the game for me. The fact that they are just 2 kids (forgot if they are sibblings or not) that were either left on the "outskirts" or had their parents killed was really heartbreaking. The "Cleaners" is actually a translation error. They are actually called the "Sweepers". They are also the Pale Noon. I'm not spoiling anything but let's just say that every thing from the Red, Green, Orange, and Purple/Violet dawns and noons are not just things that attack your facility. About your prediction about time loops...If I were to say ANYTHING about that I might accidentally spoil something so I won't talk about it until you reach a certain point in the game.
Cloie and Hunter yet again carried my ass through this day like nobodies business and if it wasn't for them and you guys, I'm sure I wouldn't be here anymore. I think they're not even really supposed to be siblings but far more important: Two kids that had noone else and just learned to depend on each other. In war and catastrophes this sadly happens far too much, and so it's even more heartbreaking to think that their "robot forms" made them look and seem so similar, since that's probably how they kinda wanted to be. Yes. This definitely is the saddest bit of story so far. Oh, Sweepers, Cleaners, this translation isn't too far off. How do you guys know about the errors anyway? Tbh the one with Carmen was a pretty big/important one..wait a second. PALE noon? I haven't seen that colour before. And..and...not just attack my facility? So they roam the outside aswell? What the hell... We need to let Hunter outside every once in a while. To hunt. To kill. To exterminate.
@@LambdadeltaYT I learned about the translation errors though the internet. Though I have no idea who found them in the first place. I actually found out about the Cleaners-Sweepers translation error through a theory I found about the game.
alright, so I can thank you guys for educating me then. I don't want to google much about the game (yet), it's enough that I'm trying to dodge spoilers while looking for pictures to use in the thumbnails.
32:20 with "in here" it whas just refering to the Lob Corp facility. he can't leave and can't die inside this place. the same goes for the other Sephirahs.
Jesus this story keeps stealing a part of my soul with these supressions. I need more Enkephalin to get me through this sad, sad shit man. If you read this comment later I would like to know what Sephirah's story are your most memorable ones from your first play through of the game. Also I just can't help but ask are you going through the story again in the second play through? Last note: This game is sad :(
Yes, I'm going through the story again, although more focused and speculating in a different way - Sephirah get their own segment and I try to make theories about the foreshadowing in the day to day events. My favourite Sephirah story...that's a hard one. I like them all for different reasons but the Twins probably hit me the most. I especially like the complicated feelings when you consider that Tiphereth A has to see her brother die over and over and over again. (my second favourite probably is Malkuth, mostly because its hitting you out of left field once you unlock it and the game fully goes off the rails and starts the crazy train)
You know, I consider this Core Suppression also as a test to see if the player is skill and smart enough to use the effects of their abnormalities (specially items types). :3
Hello! Nice videos you do and your commentaries is great, also, i like this game too. I only wonder why you not allow DLC abnormalities appear in this walkthrough. You can activate them via options.
Thank you! To be honest, I don't know what they do/are, so I left them off. "Backer"-abnormalities, right? When I read it first, I thought it would be immersion breaking, if I remember correctly. If people want to, I could turn them on though...does it work in a running playthrough?
@@LambdadeltaYT yes, you can turn them on when you want and turn off when you want too. If you turn them on and get one and then turn off in menu the chosen DLC abnormality change on a normal one of same level of danger. But you lost your E.G.O. equipment of DLC-abnormality.
Carmen said "Yeah, I should have been the one to die." Yeah the translation was always bad but this part is the worst.
