as a fellow creative, I have always believed that the hardest thing about creating something is deciding when to be done. your channel is a curation of raw and real snapshots of your life and tells you and your family's story. i'll miss your videos for sure! but i'm proud of you for stopping, taking a step back to look at your channel and saying "yeah. i'm done." it shows a lot of emotional maturity to recognize the sense of relief you felt amongst the panic when you thought your channel was gone, and i don't think any of us could blame you for wanting to be physically, mentally, and emotionally present with your husband and your family. may God bless you and your family, and I look forward to seeing you on Instagram!

EVERYONE feels this way. I understand RUclips is time-consuming and a full time job but whether you work on YT, or an outside job or anything else, IF you have to work for a living, you have this stress, with kids and family and all those responsibilities. If you have the option and you're financially independent, that's great. But family life is just busy.

Kudos to you for building this amazing channel, and kudos to you for leaving and putting your family second and God first. Good job on letting go so God can lead you somewhere else. I had these feelings before, I’m creative worker as well (freelance photographer), but I realized that balance is everything.. after finding that balance my relationship with work became so much better, allowing me to focus on other things that are as important and enjoyable. I also enjoy what I do more since I don’t stress about it as much and have time to recharge while I do something else.
But you do whatever serves you and your family ❤️ if this feels right, it is right!

It took till October this year for me to permanently delete it and that was hard. But I don’t regret it for a second. I can concentrate on work wayyy more, I feel more connected to those around me- just like you said! I hadn’t realised just how much it had become an addiction and time waster for me. This is so relatable. My situation wasn’t exactly the same but I had a full time real estate career when we started our family as well as side work with photography. I had to make the tough decision when my son was 10 months old to give up real estate because of the unpredictable schedule and balance I needed for my family life. Soon after, photography was let go as well except for personal family photos. I’m so thankful for those decisions now several years later.

It's not mean. It's necessary. Women were sold the false lies of either 1) you can "do it all" or 2) career and worldly things will fulfill you in ways only family, partnership, and kids can. Of course there are outliers, but for the vast majority there has been a generation of successful career women that wake up at 40 with no partner and no kids and realize the rat race of the corporate world wasn't the magic solution to fulfillment and happiness.

This sounds off.It is your life, so you can choose to do what you want, but keep in mind that in the 18th century for example, people were working in the fields for 12 hours (and to this day, many people do have that type of grueling work) so they couldn't spend much time for their spouses and their children let alone friends and extended family members, and they couldn't really savor every moment they did spend with their children because they had financial worries, among other sort of worries (the flu used to kill so many more people, for example every year, so the parents' worry of losing their children with any illness was a constant worry and so, they couldn't simply enjoy their family and the moments they shared together). Again, you can stop RUclips but, I thought I would remind you of this detail.

I understand and respect this decision, but I don’t think youtube is the full problem. I think you have put too much pressure and responsibility on yourself. You make things homemade and from scratch, you clean and care for your home, you film and edit your videos (multiple times a week too), care for your children and you homeschool them too. I think youtube would still be possible if you were able to develop more balance between your responsibilities. Having an editor, doing 1 video a week, having a cleaning lady, etc. however, I do 100% respect this decision and understand your thought process and if stopping youtube helps, then that’s great but I do think you should think about this because I think there’s more than just youtube creating the problem. It seems you have run yourself too thin in some aspects. It’s good to have balance and to rest and maybe you need to reevaluate the responsibilities you have. I hope this doesn’t come across as judgement, because i send this more as a constructive criticism in a way! God bless!
