Kinda late answer, but hope it's still helpful: it's a variant of industrial music, some call it aggrotech, others dark electro, harsh electro, and could also be confused with other industrial subgenres like EBM and futurepop/futuresynth, but they are different (though there are common points, but it would be like goa trance being mistaken with uplifting trance). Bands and projects similar to this are Grendel, Suicide Commando, Nitronoise. Other bands similarly labeled but with a different sound (faster and/or more aggresive and harsher) are Nachtmahr, X-RX, some of Aesthethic Perfection, Combichrist and Centhron. Check the old and still useful Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music, and under the Trance category you'll get good industrial suggestions. Welcome to the dark side >:)

Reminds me a lot of Neurotech's first album, Antagonist, but without guitars. And really, that's the only thing I feel is missing from this. Add some distorted guitars and this would be perfect.
I really have a difficult time seeing how fans of the genre can not like this song. I mean, I get it, they look like they'd be just at home as a country band (I'd LOVE to see a country band with vocals like this for one song-- just once!), but they sound good, even if not exactly unique. This is just my opinion, of course. I guess Cygnosic isn't for everyone.
lioncid Only if the damned composers would release the instrumental versions of their songs. This song's and cygnosic - mad desire's instrumentals are amazing, but some don't like the screaming ... and by that I meant plenty of people.
Regenbogen Drache They're nice if you want to work out, but if you want to chill or listen to some good music, it does kind of destroy the really nice, futuristic vibe of the instrumentals.
