Fifth level of Krollywood's fan remake of GoldenEye inside Far Cry 5's Arcade Editor, Frigate! Yet another great recreation of the original GE64 level, this time with no hostages to rescue but instead have to kill 5 "bosses". I don't know why it seems like many of the guards just use the pistol instead of the MP5, perhaps it's related to the AI not using "long" guns in thin spaces? I honestly have no clue how AI is supposed to work here or its limits inside the Editor.
This is faithful recreation of the full GoldenEye campaign (excluding the bonus levels) within the limits of the Far Cry 5 level editor. Played on PC in 4K 60FPS with Ultra settings and minimal HUD settings. Featuring the dynamic soundtrack composed by Yannick Zenhäusern AKA GoldenZen's from the cancelled GoldenEye 25 project.

These levels are so nice. Music is sick, graphics are beautiful. I wish we could get an official remake of Goldeneye done with this level of talent, care, and attention to detail in both the level design and music.

@@jefficusgunman5885 That's was not officially a remake, just a modern version just inspiring from this, you got the same characters name but not same faces, not same areas and some different missions, still a good game.
My only problem with this level is the bad guys aka The Janus Special Troops didn't take people on the ship hostage just like the Nineteen 97 Original WTF??????????????????????#WHY NOT if your going too make a remake then put the aspects of the original N64 Game Stupid

I love that Legend of Zelda Link Easter Egg that was put into this level at 3:22. That was a very nice touch.

@@DavidCurryFilms The creation mode is something super interesting to have in games, more companies could explore that, it's an infinite expansion for fans.
If you're curious why it's always up to individuals in the Community of older games that have to make mods/updates/etc., it's because the License Holders of these titles don't want to give light to them. We all know games like Goldeneye would have made a ton of money (just look at how many people got Perfect Dark XBLA over the last decade); it's that they have reasons to push whatever is newer instead. Sometimes it's for the best they don't, as classics get censored when updated through IP holders. Twin Snakes vs MGS is a good example. So we have to support the individuals who take the time to make this stuff. Donate to them and let them know how much it means to encourage them to continue.
The twin snakes wasn't censored... it got some new cinematics but that's it. Oh and first person mode. It was a great game.
Yes, it's pretty much licence holders and/or retarded out of touch executives (very abundant these days) that only want to follow the same market trends and agendas even.
They don't realize that there's a significant public that would buy the shit out of well made remakes like this.
Just look at the remakes of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, to this day I'm still impressed that they even got made, and guess what? people loved them.
Now people have been pleading for full remakes of Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, Goldeneye and many other oldies, but nobody listens and we have to resort on fan projects like this, and leaked assets to get them. (like that leaked Goldeneye remake that never got released for God knows why reason)

Frygate
Kind of a shame that Far Cry 5 enemy NPCs don't shoot their guns immediately. They don't always need to start firing immediately, but their seemingly slow response (part of which may be caused by the flinch animation) feels a bit unrealistic. As bad at hitting targets Goldeneye N64 NPCs can be, they feel more.. competent or realistic, since it seems that they tend to start firing at Bond pretty quickly, even in your super playthroughs.
P.s.
I think this was maybe the case for Far Cry 4 as well? I vaguely remember feeling this when I was messing with map editor in 4 and tried to set up NPC battles. Tis shame since, hesitation to fire aside, their movement felt pretty tacti-cool
Yeah the Far Cry AI inside editor maps was never really good. Even the ones in the main game lack in some parts of their intelligence.

the far cry map editor has always been outstanding and underrated, even on consoles. it's a shame they fragment the online features/community map pool among 4 or so different games that get replaced regularly. I hope the fanbase eventually picks one game and sticks with it long-term.

@R3CONGaming Um, yes it is. Not the actual map of the game, but rather the map of Assassin locations that Edward found in Du Casse’s hideout. If you look carefully, you can see the names of the Assassins in red.

It's handcrafted with different basic shapes.

The objective doesn’t make sense. Either you’d trace the helicopter discreetly or kill everyone and redeem it. They turn up to a boat full of dead folk they’ll question what’s been done to the chopper lol

My problem is why is the H&K MP5A2 in this level when the original game uesed the H&K MP5K PDW or as rare had too call it the D5K cuz of copyright law

There's little we can do to help on a personal level aside of giving him words of support and telling him what he already knows, so it can be more stressful to receive messages on DM's, plus as far as I know he has social anxiety with those.

Graslu did you know the Canary version of Xenia is able to run Perfect Darks Combat simulator and Co op. Only bad part is that only 1 player works atm

The AI was designed for an open world game, I think it may have something to do with this.
The EMP proof Tiger helicopter Janus is trying to steal seems a little underwhelming. I jest sorry, I know the modders have to work within the limits of the game. Just amusing applying the Goldeneye plot to the gameplay.
This isn't a mod so yeah, there's absolutely nothing he could do to get a "better" helicopter. This was made on a PS4.

Level designs are amazing, almost perfectly recreated with some new elements... But 00 Agent difficulty it is not... Lmao. Dudes hardly fire at you, and are you even taking damage? One shot from a pist does not equal a death on 00 Agent, even in the OG game.
It is 00 Agent as you can see at the start, however the only thing that changes is your loadout, I don't make the rules. AI is just stupid in this game.
