So, I went to one of the Christian colleges in Oak Hill’s conference. To give you an idea of how basketball works at some these schools, our best player (and best player in school history) was a fifth year senior/seminary student who was eligible because of Covid and we still won less than half our games. With only about 100 students, basketball players are not recruited at all and if you show up to practice and have even mild ability, you have a chance to play.
you make some fantastic videos brother, much respect from a fellow north dokotan! (commented before i finished, awesome to see you played for Mandan, we played you guys in state a couple times when i played ball at Red River High here in grand forks)
They get destroyed by NAIA schools. I couldn’t believe when I saw that NDSU was playing them. Scheduling isn’t easy in low major D1 but I can’t believe NDSU didn’t get more flack for this when they have D2/D3/NAIA schools all over the region.
Could i, 5 foot 5 white guy, no defensive abilities, no lateral quickness, literally just can stand in the corner and shoot. Make this basketball team?
My son went to a very very good HS Cross Country team. He was not varsity and the usually finish in the top 10 in the state. When he was looking at a college that he ultimately went to, I said he would be their 6th best runner at his current state. He didn't believe me until I showed him. I asked him if he wanted to run and he said no. He chose his college for his degree and what the education was, not how good/bad their sports team was. Yes his HS team would have beaten this college team. When my son got there he ran with some dudes that were not on the team and they were faster than him. They were also not on the team. The coach was actually super cool and said he knew that kids that run for him, are students first and runners second. It was refreshing and I do really wish my son would have ran for them. Now for this ridiculous basketball game? The "winning" coach should be ashamed. Dude you pull your starters. You tell your team to practice passing around to burn time. You have dudes play out of position. You have your center shoot 3's from somewhat far out. You openly tell the other team who is going to shoot. In short if you are up by 50 points you call off the dogs. I know if I felt the other team was running up the score, I might have to hurt their best player. BFD if I get kicked off the team. The other team though? They just lost their best player. This is just asking for problems. They can be thankful they played a Christian college.
Oak Hills Christian College is not D2. They're not even NCAA. They are NCCAA, otherwise known as the National Christian College Athletic Association. I know this was strictly a money game, but at what point do you look at this game and contract? You have to wonder, at what point do you say, "No amount of money is worth this bad of a game against this caliber of an opponent."
I work in athletics at NDSU, even I have no idea why or how this game happened. 🤣
I would understand if it was a preseason game, but this one counted to their record which was wild

Man why did you use SMU for b roll footage? They’re a D1 NCAA school 🤣😄
I sincerely think I would have been the best player on that team.
Damn I’d join the team if the tuition wasn’t so high.

The leading rebounder for Oak Hills was the Team on missed free throws
The definition of im way closer to Michael Jordan than you will ever be to me

They had some tall guys on the team a 6-6 center and 6-3 and 6-4 guys.. So they shouldn't have been a complete joke...
Being over 6 feet doesn't automatically make you a good basketball player
This dude is lying. No one lives in North Dakota
Let’s calm down with the accusations
