This is a premium time capsule of a Old Ninety Eight Regency Coupe. Also I have to add, thanks for the excellent video quality. This really added to the experience. Well done. I’ll be checking out more of your vids on classics like these.
This past year I discovered that a lot of millennials working at take-out place have no idea what an Oldsmobile is. They were once some of the best-selling cars in America.
I had the identical car, among 17 other delta's and regency'. Super reliable and super comfortable. Even had a couple with the analog clock in the dash. Thanks for sharing your beautiful car.
A neighbor of mine had the exact same car, only his was white with a burgundy top. He had it for 15 years before he replaced it with a 1999 Lincoln Town Car. He really loved big cars! He passed away in 2012.
I had that in the 4 door, but it was two tone silver and forest green metallic.. I Got in an accident with it in 1998, flipped it into a ditch.. when I came to I was laying on the ceiling.. when the tow truck driver pulled it out, they wanted 500 bucks to tow it home (200km) I said screw that.. turned it over for about a minute, it started, drove it home lol loved that car
Very nice car.Had one for years. Only problem was they pretty much become undrivable at around 100k. The car is so heavy and the emissions so cumbersome that the thing will not get out of its own way after 100k. Put A Cummins twin turbo under the hood and get 30 to 40 mpg.Mine was getting 7mpg at 127k
@@randomrazr I drove several, and they handled great and rode good too, actually though I liked the next style in 91 better, I wanted one, and even my wife liked it, but was looking used in 96, to replace my 77 Electra and everyone I found had almost 100K on it , so I bought something else. My 77 2dr Electra was about the size of this Olds 98. Last year for this style Olds
@@califdad4 i found a late 80s park avenue, for 1000 bucks. 100k . grandma driven and garage kept. for a 31 year old car, think im asking for trouble? ive never thought of buying a "classic or vintage car before.
its just an interesting car. personal luxury coupe. its own thing done in a way that's very much classic but not "oh my god its the 50s and everything is plate glass". though if you can drive one of these, you can drive one of those and in factory "old" spec they belong in the same traffic
I like oldsmobil cars but they made them too big and they costs too much I think they wanted to compete with Cadillac they are really nice cars my dad worked for them and drove a new car every night home but didn't own one I had a luxery sedan 1966 it was nice but old at the time it needed some work but I didn't have enough money to restore it so I drove it until it wouldn't run any more
That 307 V8 is one of the best reliable engines ever built long as it has enough engine oil in it. The 307 V8 engine can outlast any newer engine on the road. Those 307 engines been known as bullet proof. I know because I own one.
I've liked these cars in the 80's, very nice looking cars Oldsmobile once had.

Love the big GM C bodies! Love the B and D bodies too!

Very beautiful Oldsmobile
Looks like it has nearly every single option. Very nice.
This Oldsmobile body style, 4 and 2 door, looked better than a Cadillac!
Super Clean! I have a 1981 2dr Same Color, about to hurt the city, ya dig!
Awesome car. Love the coupe, very very cool.

Beautiful! Even better than the Cadillac Coupe Devile that had that horrible 4.1 L engine at the time.
Beautiful car!
Looks like the scene in goodfellas when Henry walks across the street from Karens
I'm thinking of buying a mint factory 1983 four door 😁
That is a gem of a car !
I know it's fake but that wood trim is really beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful
Flawless.
My Dad had a 1980 4 Dr. Motor went bad and he put a 350 from a '77 Cutlass in it.
Drove one for 12 years. It's a shame they can't make cars like this anymore.
my huge favorite car

You guys just don't get it, the gas models are only vintage transportation specials that pass and ignore the seller.
Is this car still available or is it sold please comment back in what would be the selling price on it thank you very much
Beautiful
the 307 was a dog, glad mine was replaced with the rocket 350 before I bought my midnite blue sedan it is mint like this one too !
307 is slow but it's a bulletproof engine
Is that a C.B. radio microphone next to the ashtray at 2.00? You still see them for sale in truck stops but no one seems to talk on them anymore.

In which city was this car made ?
nice Olds, always liked these, and the Buick Electras, looked like a clean car, Maybe the owner moved from California LOL
Believe it or not it spent all of its life in Ohio, but it was really taken care of.
what do u think of the FWD late 80s buick ark avnues

What's with the aftermarket 3rd brake light?
Thank goodness it's not a diesil with all the knowledge in 1981 g.m had converted a gas engine into a diesil when they had Detroit diesil
The last REAL Oldsmobile Ninety Eight.
Where can I find the trim that goes around the front windshield?
That’s what i call lets go any where cars.
WOW!
Where are you and how much do you want for the car
Do they sell them?
These were very nice cars although somewhat underpowered with the 307 Cubic inch engine.
Whatever you do, don't lose those original Anco short-frame wiper blades. You'll never find a good match if you get rid of these.
Is any of those 98 for sale. Need prices
Is she for sale?
Looks like it's riding on Firestone 721s.

Get some hp upgrades for that lame 307.
There aren't any, really. Best to just go with the flow and enjoy it.
