My biggest tip in bloxburg is to plan out your colours beforehand. Play around with the colour palettes and find colours that will work best for your build. I find it really difficult to randomly put colours, so I like planning my ideas out first!

THIS WAS SO HELPFUL!!! As someone who always follows building tutorial I’ve never made my own house before and this has gave me the courage to do one!!
I’d suggest just going with whatever your happy with! Don’t worry about what others think about your building, all that matters is that your happy with it

Here's a tip to create a porch without advanced placement! (keep in mind, you need the basements gamepass for this). You are able to make the porch by going to the basement and adding a FLAT ROOF for a fully customizable porch. It might even be cheaper then a regular square as advanced placement can cause it to be quite pricey. In my opinion this also looks better then a regular porch as you are also able to add a glass roof (and customize it even further!).

Tip: For good lighting the top colours are Hurricane grey, linen any type of grey or seashell!
flint is also really good if you’re looking for a dark industrial house :)
Nougat also works good, best on fire places tho

i have been using these tips for about 6 months now, my houses have been looking way better. definitely a 10/10 starter tutorial
*POV*: You play Bloxburg but don't have enough Robux to buy Gamepasses..
Personally, If you have the gamepass (advanced placement) use the wood planks for the wall trims to put it under slanted roofs if you would like one there sure its not as good as the other things but you can add detail with basic shapes with hacks or transform tool.

Edit: A tip! (A lot of tips)
Always plan how far your going to make the house from the front. You want to make sure you have enough space for the driveway or path.
Tip from the video* Don't make your house square! If you do you have more space to cover and might making it look weird! Make edges more sharper! Tip from: DaPandaGirl (Maybe smth else like that)
Never go out of a 10 x 4! If you do it'll just look weird, if you try hard on the decorations to can make it look cute!
Colors ah yes.. DONT and I say DONT use just one color, color the house and call it a day! Use different colors, & materials! It makes it look much better!
Lighting; Dont! Use the plain table lamp, plain ceiling lamp, or over top ceiling lamp! You can make them look good, yes you can but it doesn't make the house look nice or realistic. Especially dont use the "Elderly ceiling lamp" or the "Heart wall lamp" aswell with the "Plain floor lamp" They look weird use more expensive lighting like candles and the "Log table lamp" make it look cute!
Lighting colors! NEVER use white as lighting it makes the room look too bright or makes it irritating for your eyes !
Bathrooms: Ah yes just a sink a toilet or shower.. NO! You cant just put a sink toilet or shower its plain add a mirror or some shelves with some pictures! Add toothbrushes skincare things makeup even! Add towels! Have you've seen a bathroom without towels?!
Laundry room: You HAVE to add the laundry room! I have NEVER in my entire LIFE! See a house without a laundry room!
If your going for realistic add a laundry room! If theres an empty room..ADD A LAUNDRY ROOM! The Laundry room makes houses seem so much better!
Bedroom: Bedrooms..a bed, a dresser, an end table just call it a day and move on....NO NO NO! WE NEED TO ADD MORE TO A BEDROOM!
ADD CARPETS, SHELVES, PICTURES, PLANTS, MAKE-UP, MIRRORS, DESK! THERES SO MUCH THINGS TO ADD TO A BEDROOM!
Kitchen: Say you have only like 1k-3k left? Use the cheap items color them! Use kitchen things from your inventory! Don't have anything in your inventory? Use decorations! Candles, plants, island? Or a dining room! If you only use these Items: Kitchen Lite kettle - Kitchen lite Coffee maker - Kitchen Lite Toaster - Blender - Basic stove - Kitchen Lite Microwave! That will cost 1,215 and if you have 3k+ you can Possibly have 1,785 if you have 1k you'll need way more than only that you could work for 2k and get 3k so you don't lose that much!
Dining rooms: Okay so you know you cant just add a table and chairs, color it and your done? You should add a cake stand or candles on the dining tables maybe some plants or pictures would help!

For colors, don't use only linen. If you like it now, your gonna end up hating it by using too much.
Be creative, make some some rooms not everyone has in their house! if you have extra empty rooms make it like a library, a sun room, and study place, a chit chat place maybe with a few couches, blankets, pillows. you can also make an extra bedroom if you want in those rooms!
DOn't add only everything you need in that room, for example: The laundry room. Don't add just a washer, dryer, and laundry basket. Add more decorations! like files, glasses, ironing board, cabinets, a sink maybe. just add more clutter to a room!
Try to do something new! Maybe (if you have enough money) make something custom if you never have before! Try to experiment with different things to see if you can make them look cute in someway! Like how I said don't use certain lights? Maybe try to use those lights, but maybe it depends on how the room looks!
Take breaks for building! If you spend like 20 minutes on a house and your not finished yet, maybe take a 10-15 minute break, if you spend too much time on it your eyes will be so sore after building the house!
Now listen.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD COLOR TO YOUR BUILDS!!! Whenever I walk past someone who doesn't have their house colored when their finished it makes me rage!!!
Speaking of coloring, for your exterior walls, don't use crazy colors like neon colors. don't use linen either! There may be actually good builds with linen, but if your going for like a realistic aesthetic do not use linen, but like don't use any crazy insane colors is my point.
Also, I said don't make your house square, but also don't use so much curves and slants. it'll make the house too narrow. you won't be able to place like anything.
Just an idea, maybe with these tips ( if they help at all ) maybe make houses following the seasons!
Summer: Beach house
Fall: Haunted house(??)
Winter: Snowy winter cabin
Spring: Just a normal spring family home.
A few more tips!
Try to make the colors and materials match with the aesthetic! For the colors if your going for a cabin maybe make it a very dark brown! If you have the color wheel you can make the dark brown yourself! for the Materials, if your doing a beach house use horizontal planks. If your doing a snowy winter cabin use logs. DO NOT use bark for a cabin PLEASE.

One tip for the roof is to add trims to the edge of the roof. It makes the house look realistic. Also, when you're on a tight budget, especially in appliances- use the cheaper options and recolor and texture them. It works for all items, and even though it may seem like the expensive items are better, they aren't good for decoration but instead for activities.

another tip with the lightings, using orange gives your room a warm feeling, me personally i use them in cabins or summer homes. you can also do this but a very lighter, subtle shade of orange.

This is a popular tip for beginners, and other builders.
When you are doing exterior [garden] there are limited plants. So my advice is, when you finish the inside of your house or at least what you want- get a clear basic shape [square] and resize it to a thin beam. Then go to decorations and search up "decal", you'll want to use the double sided decal. Put the decal on the basic shape and pick a plant [with no background] and duplicate it to the next side. So if I put the first decal on the west side, then put the 2nd decal on the south or north side. Basically they have to be on the next side over. And there you go, you have a custom plant. I'll upload more tips later!
