I know that there is legal disadvantage in Jordan for Christian women who marry a Jordanian Muslim: she can't inherit, which is so unfair, but I had no idea that the authorities are so threatened by the potential of Christianity spreading in Jordan.
What happened with Amy (the one who converted)? Is she back home safely? I honestly excuse her behavior. Fearing for the safety of her child and herself is a powerful motivator.

I dont think this is at all bizzarre.. ...as I was brought up in the middle east in Kuwait.. which is also quite liberal, less liberal than Jordan though.... ...and having looked into Islam relatively recently Im not at all surprised.. ...first book i read was 'Islam and Terrorism' by Mark Gabriel (changed his name) who was a former Imam, prof and lecturer on islamic history in a top university in Egypt.... a real eye opener into those who take the Quran seriously and at face value... ...and then more recently 'No God but One' by Nebeel qureshi and Seeking Allah, finding Jesus. I am a christian myself but I was brought up as an atheist in the middle east so knew nothing about Islam or christianity at the time...
wow that's horrible you guys had to go through that at least your here in the states with your family where u don't have to worry about that a few questions: 1) if this didn't happen would u have stayed in Jordon2) what happened to Amy and her son if I may ask also that's good your husband didn't have to wait for his visa
kaled adam 1) our plan before this happened was to stay in Jordan long-term. Now I don’t think we can ever live there again. I’m hoping we can at least visit in the next few years. 2) Amy left that family’s home and after that I don’t know where she went. As far as I know she and her son are still stuck in Jordan. Their situation breaks my heart even though I don’t know a lot of detail about what they are experiencing now.

Yes, that is definitely true in Arab culture, but for Christians it should be different, no matter what culture they are from. Being a Christian has to be an individual, personal choice for every person.
So christian can't preach in Jordan , It is wrong and people should be free to express them self but I wouldn't call it persecution , what happen to the ex muslim women was a prosecution sence her life would be in danger for simply existing
Yes, I agree, except for the fact that Jordanian intelligence was threatening my husband that he might "die by accident". I would call that persecution.

This episode should be removed immediately from RUclips for the church members safety(the one was closed) You guys need to understand that converting to christianity or trying to convince someone to convert means your life is in danger. Since all of your information and data is already with others... your now safe, but his family and other relatives might not be. Interesting story, but the Jordanian government knew what might happen if your husband church continued to do what it was doing. Things could've been too bad. Mieaa Larry I understand your concerns about safety but I asked permission from most of the people involved in this situation before filming this video. Also, the only danger is from the Jordanian government retaliating out of embarrassment. And honestly everyone involved in this situation wants the Jordanian government held to account. So their actions need to be exposed even if there is some risk.
