Great seeing this, my ex gf lived nearby there (Fushun), never been to Shenyang myself though. That imperial palace really looked a lot like Prince Gong's Mansion in Beijing (but I guess all imperial chinese palaces look a lot alike). Been a while since I have been in China, your videos really are making me wanna go back! Thanks!!
I just talked about this area. Plenty of old buildings with there original numbers, but of course new businesses opened in them, nonetheless they have a plate on the wall with information about the building year and what it was before. And you can walk to the roundabout where Mao Zedong statue is
Always like wandering aimlessly (Yes, I read the description). My boss is from there, her dad is from "that other" Korea ;) apparently you gotta go at the right time to avoid the hot summer and freezing winter..then again, we're in California so who knows what normal seasons are like. edit: you need the sound effect for when the evil uncles notice the camera!
No kidding?! But yeah, the spring and fall are really nice. Kinda short though. That's one thing I find funny about Changchun - the capital of Jilin. It literally means 'Long Spring'. But in reality they have a very short spring. I tell the locals that Changchun should be called 'Duanchun' (短春), but my humor usually goes right over their head. And yeah, I considered the sound effect for the mean-muggers. LOL Perhaps I'll do it next time!
Glad you enjoyed it! Comments like this make it all worthwhile! Just hope some folks out there get some enjoyment out of my content! Stay blessed my friend!
@@chopsticksandtrains The locals can actually hear my accent and know I am probably somewhere from Southern China, and I think they might not know I am exactly from Taiwan, you know, China is so damn big that has numerous dialects in each region. As a Taiwanese, I just feel like the locals treat me so friendly, not seem uncomfortable at all.
@@chopsticksandtrains Hope you have fun travelling in China, and I really appreciate seeing you upload China travel vlogs!!! Stay safe, and stay tuned, bro.😊😊
Went to the US consulate a few times, and walked around the area a bit. The Chinese guards outside of it got out of the sun underneath some big umbrellas with giant Pepsi logos on them! Thought that was funny. One time I smashed my shin getting on a bus, and then painfully walked several blocks towards a central part of the city. Not in the mood to appreciate it! Another time got a roundabout tour of parts of Shenyang in a taxi on my way to the train station. One trip was in the depths of a dongbei winter. Not fun. During the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, what was probably the biggest battle in world history up to that time in terms of numbers engaged was fought nearby.
I'm not positive but I think he said 下次, 再见 (next time, see you again) which I believe is incorrect (unless I misheard it) - it should be 下次见 (see you next time).
It's hard to say... they all have plenty of 'fashionable' ones, but I definitely prefer southern Chinese women. They have much more gentle and feminine personalities.
@@chopsticksandtrains interesting and thanks for the reply. I metI this fashionable Chinese girl once in Tokyo, would you be able to tell where she's from just by looking at picture? I can't stop thinking about her.

My FIL is from Romania, he escaped the country decades ago to come to the US. Not sure China is a “very poor country”, looks very prosperous to me. There’s probably only one homeless person that’s captured by this guy in his video 😂 unlike Seattle where there’s homeless encampments everywhere 😢
Hey thanks for posting this!!
I lived in this city for 10 years and had to leave because of covid I really miss it so much thank you for this video
Plenty more Shenyang videos coming in the future as well! There's a lot to explore there!

Can you please upload a video about Shenyang's stunning skylines, nearby the Hunhe(浑河) Bridge, kinda nearby the Shenyang Grand Hyatt Hotel?
Thanks for watching... If I'm in the area I'll try to film it. :)
*The stunning skylines with apartaments of 20 ² meters for 5 persons !!*
I took the video there last May and I’m coming back August 27

Cool! How do the locals treat you since you are from Taiwan? I could see potential for some very uncomfortable and awkward situations.
