Thank you, Erin, for all these insightful sessions. My question is this, how do I write my headline when I am not sure of who exactly I want to work for?
Good Q - for sure you want to start with “virtual assistant,” and then add some additional context about your skills or strengths. For ex: virtual assistant - flawless administrative assistance or Virtual assistant - x number of years in administrative assistance
Hi Erin! I'm curious what app do you use when uploading your course?I have a client, she want me to upload her course in SO app...Thank you in advance!HAVE A WONDERFUL SUN❤
Hi Erin! How would I create a headline that shows my work as a Self Care Coach, Virtual Assistant, and Travel Advisor? I plan to build business pages on LinkedIn for each, but am not sure how to turn this into a simple headline.
This is tricky because your niches are almost like entirely separate businesses. Is it feasible for you to focus on one niche? Otherwise, I would personally start by creating a profile with the widest reach / audience. For example, you could start by creating a VA-centric headline that incorporates travel - many VAs specialize in corporate travel / travel advisory roles. You could then include more detail about your self-care coaching in your Summary section.. Or if your main goal is to get Coaching clients, then create a coaching-forward profile and include VA services in your summary.
@ErinBooth Thanks! I like your idea of combining Virtual Assistant with travel work. It's much simpler, which is great in this situation. I have coaching in my headline, which seems to have people message me about buying their Coaching program for entrepreneurs. That's not what I want to focus on with LinkedIn. It can be tricky to combine so many things into one profile. I appreciate your help! 🙂
Hi Erin, what are your thoughts about people who reach out to others in their social media chat inbox to offer their services ? Is that something you ever did when you now started off as a virtual assistant? I have been receiving a lot of these types of messages lately.
I have indeed reached out to clients in their social DMS before, but there is a right and wrong way to do it. Watch this as a general helpful guide: ruclips.net/video/BRyAb4Ga16c/видео.htmlsi=xSUZ3yqVParmFmjo I also have a pitching course on my YT channel that addresses how to cold pitch in DMs "the right way"
Hi Erin - Should I create a Linkendin business page on my personal page? I was thinking of doing that since it’s a side hustle . What are your thoughts?!
A business page is still risky, for sure. Can you ask someone at your company if they have any verbiage that prohibits you from running a side gig? If you decide to move forward anyway, your employer will not be notified of you creating a Company Page. You wouldn't be able to connect your biz page to your profile, and you also wouldn't be able to share any content about your business.
@@ErinBooth Awww... that sucks that it still will be risky. So what should I do if I am at risk creating a business page and my employer might see it? How can I network to find jobs on Linkendin if I'm unable to promote that I am a VA on the side? What do you suggest I should do? Should I hide my business page for now and still apply for VA jobs on my personal work linkendin? how am I able to promote that I am a VA? Please advise, thank you kindly.
Is LinkedIn more for corporate people and less for creatives? I'm wanting avoid the corporate world, despite meaning I'll earn less, as that whole realm gives me anxiety after working within it for 15 years.
I’m venturing into freelancing and I bless God the day I came across this channel. Thank you for all you do Erin.

All sorts of people use it! TONS of creatives use it - myself included.
