I love all the eras of Riot, but the Tony Moore era is easily my favorite. Albums like Immortal Soul, The Privilege Of Power, and especially the MASTERPIECE Thundersteel are amazing albums. Riot should have been a huge massive band headlining in arenas and stadiums all over the world. Their music is that amazing in my opinion. It is such a shame that they never got the recognition that they deserved.

I wonder how far this lineup would keep going if Mark Reale did not pass away. He created magic in every lineup he had with Riot, but in my opinion this lineup was especially special. I am glad that Riot V is still playing his music, and that it has a very strong lineup as well. Todd Michael Hall has done a fantastic job on all the classics, and the new material that Riot V has done with their two current albums.

This is the only song that Todd will not attempt. You can understand why. This will kill you in a live setting on a tour. Man I miss Tony and Mark and this kinda stuff. Much respect for Riot V and what they are currently doing. Their recent Barcelona gig on 11/11/19 is an incredible performance.

It's sad that Mark Reale past away... However it's like he knew he was gonna lose his life soon because he made a masterpiece right before the end of his line. Seriously this album is so good it reminds me of Thundersteel, the quality is even better and the songs more technical. Mr.Reale age was 56 and rock this hard, total bad ass. God's got a special place in heaven for him. Mark Reale, Randy Rhoads, Chuck Schuldiner, Cliff Burton. He's making a legendary band, he just needs a drummer now.

The outlaw and swords and tequila are equal to thunder steel and crimson storm at least for me. The writing is not as good without Mark the last two albums are marginally good IMO.
Today was when I just discovered this album cos I was looking at Demons and Wizards, clicked on the drummers name Bobby Jarzombek, saw immortal soul in his discography and just had to check it out. Now i know it was a great decision. So sad that Mark was taken from the world but he left us with ultimate Riot a few months before. Rest In Peace you magnificent man.
At the minimum, this band has at least 3, 5 star songs per album, the rest tend to be 4stars. So few bands can keep that pace. The Lyrics are always poignant. The guitar work is always brilliant. I miss Mark Reale and all the departed members of Riot. They deserved better than they got. LLR!

Anyone not completely blown away by this incredible performance should listen to Disco, Techno or other non-music. If I'd have to look for a definition of a "tight" sound, I'd go straight to this song and stop looking. Only Dance of Death matches. And I'd suggest to listen to the lyrics. They are topical.
