You guys realize that west coast swing is the modern iteration of the 1930s lindy hop (Swing) and boogie woogie (sometimes LA Style Lindy, but not so clear as they overlap, also Jitterbug to RocknRoll music)? So yeah, it is not just similar, but shares the same foundation, same basics (6 and 8 counts, actually only 2 counts if we are being honest), but danced in a different style - smooth, no bounce. Lindy, you see the beat in the bounce, LA style has this more in the legs and WestCoastSwing doesnt show it at all, they float thru rolling thru their feet and body.
@@markfrinch7865 I am convinced that WCS still has a "bounce" but it's more of a "pulse". I would say every Swing Dance has a "pulse" but the tempo and the groove of the music decide if you want to dance an actual "bounce".
AWESOME!!!
What’s the song called?
