This was great thank you. I don't have the same laser machine but I am hoping I can incorporate what you showed using Shilloute Studio and then pulling it into Lightburn. I'm not sure if you can design in Lightburn as I have only used it so far to transfer my files to cut on my machine.

Thank you for a great step by step tutorial. I have one question. Did you have to change your settings when cutting/engraving on the painted wood? Great video.

Thank you for the comment. I didn't change the settings for the painted wood.

Great video & nicely explained. I’m just waiting for delivery of my M1 but have already been busy designing earrings, so seeing your video was very timely. Slightly confused about the need to mirror the copied image? I will not have the honeycomb bed, just the prism rods, so not sure how best to secure your basswood?

Thank you for your comment Jeff. I don't think you can secure the wood to the rods. I would suggest that you keep the rods close together when cutting smaller things. The mirror image is useful for earrings that are no symmetrical. Hope you enjoy your machine.

Hi, is it okay without homecomb or riser?

Yes, you may have some charring on the backside.
