I'm not super familiar with the Flight Aware Pro Stick but my understanding is that it has some additional filters for ADB-S signals but I'm not completely sure.
You can supposedly use the RTL-SDR to tune into air traffic control but I haven't done that yet. You can't do it at the same time as monitoring ADS-B (with the same RTL-SDR). I'm guessing you would need the proper antenna and the right frequency to tune into using software like CubicSDR or SDR#.
Pretty cool, I started building mine today, good thing I already had all the parts, plus I’ll build a sky hub later.
Excellent! Now I can identify the planes spewing chemtrails over my house.
Cheers and Well Done!
FM/AM will use antenna vertical, SSB both upper/lower sidebands will use horizontal
Well organized. Thank you
why do i encounter error when i am installing the piaware and dump1090? is it because of my os?
How is the the RTL-SDR module in your kit different than the Flight Aware Pro Stick?

how to setup by use hackrf one ?
Thank you for the video. Wondering, is the wpa_supplicant.conf file is required if connecting via Ethernet?
Nope. Not needed.
nice video. Any ideas how to change port 8080. I have another program on this port. Thanks
Would I be able to use the raspberry Pico? I am new to this stuff. Thanks!
Generally speaking, no. The Pico is a "microcontroller" whereas the Raspberry Pi is more like a traditional PC.
One question. Is there any way to hear what the pilots are saying???

That's interesting...
do you still need internet for it to work?
I haven't been able to get it to work without the internet.
Can this pick up radio signals or no
The RTL-SDR can pick up radio signals.
I can’t believe that after all the reviews of so many different products, you don’t have some heatsinks on that pi3b 🤦♂️
I haven't had any problems with overheating on mine.
@@Rickmakes for everyday tasks, with no overclock it should be ok, but I like mine to stay at 45-55 Celsius...
