Microsoft wants bedrock to be the main version but java is just the original made in 2009 and bedrock was made in 2011 and fully realesed 2016 so that means that the main version of the game is

There is no 2 versions, bedrock is as much of a version of minecraft as all the other shitty block games on the appstore just this one is the most succesful and people even pay money to pay this buggy abomonation

The main version is bedrock edition because even though Java gets updates sooner than bedrock, bedrock gets the perfected version of the updates. And we don’t have mods because bedrock has a more complex code that modders can’t change. And bedrock is playable on way more platforms than Java like pc, Xbox, PlayStation, VR, Nintendo Switch, Wii, IPhone, and Android. And the final reason is the that when you buy bedrock, you can get Java for a discount if bought together, but if just by Java then you don’t get bedrock. Sorry if I sound like a nerd, I just know these from Camman18 and a few other RUclipsrs
