It’s not weird at all to not wash your jeans. I only do it if it’s absolutely necessary. As a matter of fact, some brand labels say not to wash if possible! Also, size 11 feet frustration is real! I’d love a video on that😊

The linen vest paired with the dark wash Mango jeans is the best outfit, there's way too much fabric in the others, which makes you look bigger than you are. If you wear loose, wide jeans, wear a skimming/slightly slouchy but more fitted top and always tuck it in if it's longer than the linen vest. Denim skirts: simple a-line or pencil/column fit with or without a slit. Trucker jackets, usual size is way more flattering than oversize

I'd also to hear your thoughts on if you know anything about what different pant cuts or styles fit better on various body shapes-- I really struggle as a short person with a short rectangular torso but tall and wide hips. It's like the rest of my body decided to shop in the petite section but my hips didn't get the memo!

I a going through a denim love affair right now but NOT blue denim. I only wear blue denim on top I’m all about the black denim. Cause I grew up in the Bay Area in the renaissance time of jeans we had the local jeans - Levi’s, the western jeans - wrangler and the more fashion forward Lee jeans. Levi’s only had the 501s, which we would hand distress (and one time I was rushing and basically tiedyed my new jeans. I did own a pair of lee’s peged jeans that were black with a thin medium gray stripe in middle school. In high school I got a pair of Lee’s mattress ticking striped overall FLARES! They were tres chic and easy to style. But in my 20’s I went black jeans and these days I prefer men’s Levi’s. I even have a pair of selvedge black, trim 501’s (with a zip) that I love. The CEO says we should not wash our jeans for the first year (I use a wash cloth and suede brush on the inside. I also put them in the freezer for a week every so often). I wanted a black denim Levi jeans jacket but could not afford one. But I found a men’s dark blue wash jean jacket at the thrift store that was barely worn. I paid too much but took it home a dyed it black (with a few extra packets of dye). It’s amazing. But the new style of jean jackets (ok it’s been the style for 4 years) is a longer jacket so after my pattern making class I now sewn up 2 jackets (a test cropped jacket in muslin that I dyed violet and a black and gray printed jacket in twill with a wee bit of stretch (the collar is a cotton velvet)). I’m about to start a suit in a harlequin printed twill with a wee bit of stretch. I’m starting with the jacket! I know I want a high waisted NOT skinny jean so I’m searching for jeans inspiration. I’d written off barrel jeans but after seeing this video I may have to go to a store to try a pair on! This was a fun video!
Your thumbnail got me watching. Love the denim. The barrel jean are perfect for you. All the outfits were very nice. But ironing the outfits would have looked 100% better.
I do the same thing with jean maintenance, i'm always surprised when people are calling jeans old after 2 years... turns out most people use heated dryers on their clothes. i wash everything, not just denim in 30degress (celcius), use a lower spin and air dry. used to wash my denim cold and i think i'll go back to that. I have 7 year old jeans that still look good and they have elastane in them. In terms of washes, i love medium wash, i'm slightly falling for the temptation of raw indigo and lighter pairs... but it's slow, the lighter jeans i have are accidental lol.

Elastane has it's place, I love denim with elastane, whenever it's 100% cotton, i have to get a looser waist and end up with a relaxed style, which i like as well, but not all the time.. My stretch jeans last a very long time, I air dry everyone of my clothing
The next video is all about shoes!!!!!! The black leather flat sandals with the big gold hardware are Valentino!! My mother gave them to me because they were too big for her and I have no idea what they cost but I think they are on sale!!
