Your either death or representative. The big giveaway is the rhythm section. But it's a cut and paste. Identical, even in tempo. Being a musician I couldn't get passed identical it sounded. Changing the key 1/2 step lower didn't fool anyone. Its not about the money. Ed been sued before. It's about trying to pull this off without permission...then claiming ownership. Then hiding behind the chordal form. Everyone knows what he did. Maybe he thought it wasn't going to court. His background means nothing, nor does it make okay. The classic case of a white-POP stealing. Ed put in the time creating copy classic cover version. Oh, the disquise bridge in Minor key just does fit.

Today's so-called music, is replete with nothing but sampling and other thefts of classics because these 'artists' of today, cannot create anything without stealing form the past. Some people are lying, saying that they cannot hear it. Well, Tom Petty won a lawsuit against another UK act (they seem to copy everything that we do) - Sam Smith, and those songs sounded less alike. George Harrison stole a song for 'My Sweet Lord' and lost. John Lennon got sued and a few others. This current biz needs to leave the hip-hop DJ producer out of it, then theft should not happen.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. There are MILLIONS of songs in the world and a huge percentage of them share underlying chord progressions - it's mathematically impossible to have as many songs as there have ever been written since the beginning of music and NOT have overlap or same chords - there's only so many combinations you can have. If you understood how impossible that is, you wouldn't be saying that. Saying that basically means every song has to use completely different chord progression or they'll be sued - and do you have the SLIGHTEST idea how insane or impossible that IS when you're talking about 50,000 to 100,000 songs being written somewhere in the world EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR? THINK about that. Try to think of a chord progression for a song, get some drum beats in there - ok? Now do it again, 100 times - come up with 100. Even with JUST 100 you'd have overlap unless you're writing complete CHAOS.
      Think before you speak.
