You forgot to add that there is visual indicator for chance to stealth kill. The 4 (red) bars in the summary window where you can see how much dmg you will deal. I do not know exact mechanics but i suspect it is 25% intervals. If you have really sneaky character, hitting arms will be considered as stealth kill. Be aware that this depends not only on your character skill but also enemy status, enemy level/experience etc.
With meele stealh kills, with 2 mercs you can even set them up in a way that the 2 mercs each kill one guy at the same time, so the other one wont be alarmed and start combat. Needs a bit of timing but it works.
I have you to thank for recently downloading this. I used to adore JA & JA2 - this one has done a fairly good job of feeling that same sense. Couple things I wish they were able to do, but I’ll hold my tongue until I complete the game. It’s had me hooked since getting it. Something not many games can do for me nowadays.
Hehe, my pleasure! I'm enjoying JA3 a lot. Never finished JA2 (actually stopped playing it like 20 years ago or such) and therefore my nostalgia bias isn't as heavy. And I never played the modded JA2 version either. I see a lot of criticism that JA3 is "dumbed down" but I really disagree. JA2 wasn't the bright star it's now for those nostalgists when it was released either. And JA3 is moddable. Just let the Internet do it's thing. And I bet this game here has a decent chance of being the new Jagged Alliance standard experience. The atmosphere is so good, the game loads really well and fast (for me at least) and the action feels fair, learnable and very adaptable to your playstyle. My biggest gripe would be the very minimalist UX design (I really don't like it) but well, that subjective.
Man i feel dumb now i was trying the stealth kill all the time and finally googled it, i never switched to the blade. But it allowed me to throw it just not to prepare the stealth kill. Thanks for the tipps ;D.
its same for melee and ranged, you dont get your spent action ponits on a strike, what happen is your guy has this reaction melee strike, and he restarted the combat by killing a dude, then spoted again for new combat start .
Yeah but you still have a lot of AP left even if that does not happen cause the melee attack hasn't eaten all your action points like a ranged aimed attack does.
@@Ic0nGaming Yeah, but your information was wrong, saying that melee dont spend action point at all, as for ranged, you should weigh up do you use all of your action points depending on position, so you can still move even if you fail, or save up for overwatch. This is more important if you use assault rifles for stealth kills from medium ranges, pistols or SMGs have a nice retreat option you should save for
To be fully honest: I experimented with melee stealth for this video for the first time ;) So without this vid I would be probably still snipering only
I am curious about why the game did not explain how to make a stealth killing systematically. I just knew that after selecting the knife icon for stealth killing, I have to move forward the enemy too.
I remember the original and i always stealth killed with throwing knifes. Can that work in this game. Im guessing its the same mechanics as stealth killing with guns.
Suppressor you say? For stealth kills? Duh! Thanks for reminding all about that, so I can thank you NOW for it. So majestic, these insights of yours. Also, next pro-tip : don't forget to load your gun before shooting. Otherwise it won't work.
Stealth guide? With Fidel Dahan selected during the intro sequence of the video... Something seems off to me, here. Next item, how to rage strike, but this time with Anita Backman on the menu.
Haha, Fidel actually is a good Sneak! Despite his ... Volatile Personality, he has decent Agility and his Melee Retaliation skill lets him finish off enemies if you don't 1shot them via melee.
@@Ic0nGaming Yup! I got to realize that after scanning his dossier anew, once noticing your move. That special brings a lot to that, of course. I never had the occasion to realize his agility could be put to good use like that. Also, I managed to take Port Cacao single and deadly, using melee Fox, sneaky-sneak. (can't afford tubulars for her guns, just yet) Her 100 DEX incr. multiplier provides her with a beast bonus in pretty much anything assertive. And also, Calendar girl doesn't get to leave enough time to sound the alarm, as you know. I think she's OP. Fox killed 3 guys banded together, back to back, with knife. Three crits to the neck. No alarm sound, no grit involved here from her. Just those three guys guts on her payroll, pretty much. My IMP is a thief and yet Fox still does it better (also hitting that 'skull break' icon with her is a real good thing to do: I have yet to watch her fail a single knife swing, I'm in to say. WOW ! Now I feel like I need Grunty as a morale water reservoir, considering the massive amount of competence he's allowed to witness with this team. I'm sure you know how Grunty can be when he sees competence. Best congratz/pep-talker in the game. Also I subbed to your channel. But that was earlier in the day. Me love tactical 101 Jagged Alliance videos. Keep'em coming, sir! 👍
Why yes, I am a chimera of all those people at once! Jokes aside, it's German - might be a ton of different accents mixed in, as I almost have no contact with native speakers here and learn the most from watching movies, listening to music or going for websites to check out correct pronounces. I bet this makes helluva dialect mix :D Cheers mate, thanks for your comment o/

That's wild, but i don't go for two stealth melee within the same squad usually

Can you conbine this sneak attack with some overwatches? This would be the perfect setup?!?

Good explanation,cthx !
Try putting a suppressor on a rifle as first weapon mod for stealth kill. You can thank me later.

What does it mean when a mod on your weapon is red?
You cannot afford it.
i cant place ur accent man, sounds like irish, canadian, swedish and german mixed together no offence intended, good videos btw

You did it wrong, why you failed
Yeah that's because I didn't watch your Guide first!
