I noticed that many Hmong parents when they adopted a child, later in life they don't love that child. So rude and sad. It's a human being not an items. If you can't love then don't adopt.
Only Meca have the heart and soul to adopt and love them as their own children.
They only want them so they can have other kids. But will always treat them as an outsider. This woman is cruel of a Hmong person. She deserves nothing from them. I as they nyab would cut her off because she’s all drama.

Imagine this story but with real brothers and sisters, not step siblings. This is my story also.
Sorry to hear. It usually starts with the parent. Some toxic biological parents are so evil and selfish to where they purposely encourage hatred and war among blood siblings for their own entertainment. The ones that gets parental treatments are always talking smack and expecting the ones that were mistreated by the parent to give and love that toxic parent the same if not more.
I’m glad you listen to your wife and know that your life is with her. All others were cruel and never counted you as family, that’s so sad about Hmong people. My husband is half Hmong and his older brother is not his blood, but because of the way my MIL raised them, they don’t see any difference - only the fact that they are brothers and have each. Sometimes God brings people into your life that is suppose to be your family. Sometimes family isn’t all that - blood doesn’t determine anything if the heart and soul is cruel and divided.

Sometimes it good to cut toxic people out of your life so you can actually live in peace....even if those people are family. What you did for you and your family was a must, money can always be made but time cannot be bought. What you did for your adoptive parents = no more debts to them or anyone. There comes a point in life be it a hmong man/women. Only you know how your family acts like. Its up to you to make that decision on how you will approach the issue. But you should always put your family first meaning your husband and kids. Every outside input is will have to be filtered put and you have the power to decide what is right and wrong for your family. Even if you have to cut ties with some people its for the better. Your kids and husband/wife will always have your back.
Hmong funerals are overrated they spend a shit ton of money and always always the first thing that comes put of the family leads mouth is how much money you have? If its under 20k they always say "oh this funeral will be difficult" hmong culture be messed up sometimes.

This is almost the same story as the young mother that took her children and her life in Minnesota. Sad that Hmong people are so small minded. Adopt the kids to give you good look but in the end, you still cannot love the adopted child with all your heart.
Glad you're at peace at the end. In some cases it is the biological parents that treat their own kid the same way.

On a flip side, I've seen some Hmong people scared to lose koom Hmoov, and pushed step children out, no bowing, no hat, no drinking koom Hmoov shot, no sunshine money, etc. when they were the ones that loved the step parent most, and when these step kids cried to the deceased step-parent, it was interesting to hear the story of the aftermath of them visiting their family to ask why did they treat their children this way...it's another story to tell of course, 😉 but the outcome was satisfying to watch and just had to share. Don't be mean to others as this is a karmatic world. The universe has a lot of love and luck to share and whatever is meant for you will come.

Don’t feel bad about what your adopted mother did. She stopped caring / loving you since the minute she conceived. From that moment on you aren’t her child but a slave. There’s an American saying “She made her bed and now she must sleep in it.” Your adopted mother got exactly what she deserves. Just because she gave birth to her children doesn’t guaranteed they will love her in the end.

You know that your adopted parents does not love and care about you since the day they have their own children and yet you still trust your adopted mother!! You know how she is do not trust her and any of her children too. The best is cut ties from them. They are too toxic to be around and depressing and just want to destroy your life and what you have. Have no contact is the best to go since you have no relationship or connection to them anyway. Go follow your in laws instead.
