Ashley this is so adorable. Thanks for the video. I miss your lives on Sunday mornings here in Janesville Wisconsin. I haven't even tried to draw with my scan n cut. With this DL I will be trying it. Thank you

I enjoyed starting making this today after purchasing from your shop.
One thing I’m struggling with is how once I’ve downloaded an SVG to my SNC, deleted off the sections I’m not using, how do I get the envelope and card one to then not appear over the top of the first file please?
I must be missing a step or two but haven’t worked out how to get around it. Unless just a thought now I’m in bed 😅, do I have to start a new project? 🤔

Hi Ive shown how to do this many times over the years in videos and lives, but once you get a design into your SNC machine that has more than one object on the mat, first thing i would do is save the whole design into the machine (you can always go back later and delete it completely from the machine)
Next select select the parts you wont be cutting and using the trash can on the screen delete them.
      Cut the part thats left.
Once thats completed call up the design again you saved in the machine
Delete the part you just cut and anything else you dont want and cut the next part
Then repeat for as many times it takes to cut all the parts. hope that helps

Thank you Ashley. I’ll check if I saved to machine which I’m not sure I did for both parts. I’ll also get a usb stick as would save keep putting laptop on as well. It’s only the 3rd time I’ve tried to use the SNC machine since getting it second hand in February. Tbh, I didn’t know what I was buying but had seen a friends one once before and thought it looked like something I’d use. Your videos are really helpful and get me inspired to make more time to learn about it ❤

If you SNC machine is wifi enabled, just open the cutting file you bought from me in canvas workspace, send to your SNC machine via wifi and save it in the machine. once its saved there you can open it and do what i recommended.

Hi Ashley, instead of deleting the mats and layers could the cutting area be reduced by drawing the arrows over both then cut, doesn't the machine ignore these and cut the rest. Hope you know what I mean

Hi if you reduce the screen size in the settings yes, but many of my designs have shapes that overlap, so that wouldnt work, thank you
