Exactly and that's why I wasn't impressed when Valentina tried to take the belt from Nunes by point fighting. Holly Holm KO'd Rousey for that belt. Meisha Tate choked Holm out cold for it. Amanda Nunes beat Meisha by TKO and into retirement for the belt. Then came Valentina thinking she could get the 135 lb belt by point fighting to a decision. Wrong! If you want the belt, make it clear and go out there and get a stoppage.

I don't understand why everyone is so surprised by Alexa Grasso's victory? She wasn't a novice when she came out to fight against Valentina. She was already an experienced fighter with a score of 15-3. And Valentina lost twice to Amanda Nunes, she was not some kind of invincible.
People are so surprised, as if they have seen Alexa Grasso for the first time. I have been following her career for a long time, and I saw that she is a very promising and talented fighter. People, have you seen Alexa's previous fights? She's a super professional. Don't be surprised that she won.

Valentina has been and incredible Champion, honorable, decent & respectful of her influence on others and most of all respectful to the sport she has spent her life exceeding at the highest level. She has been a great example of what a Champion is and should be. Everyone in the fight game knew it would take another special woman to take the title from her. This did not come easy for Alexa, none of us 2 or 3 years ago would have even deemed her worthy of a shot, she put in the work and proved a lot of people wrong. She fought a smart fight last night and finally put a stop to one of the greatest reigns in MMA history. Wow that was amazing, and loved to see Brandon have a moment with her... 2 great Champions right there.

Idk Shevchenko has been pretty disrespectful to other competitors including Grasso. Her post fight speech talking about 'winning the fight all around' when she was getting boxed up on the feet... it lacked class to say the least.

@@jayeff8096 + lol yeah Valentina has absolutely not been none of that stuff. I cant even remember her saying anything positive about any of her opponents.

    • @BillnYou1

@@jayeff8096 Thats all part of the fight >game...I would give her and anyone else a pass on fight related talk, when it gets personal then that is not acceptable. Outside the ring she has been a good influence on all of women's MMA. The fight was close when Alexa finished her, Valentina at that moment probably had the lead .. that is what she is referring to. Losing has not happened much to her so yeah she needed some time to sort things out in her head .. As an ex-fighter and trainer (boxing) I loved seeing Alexa using the sweet science to beat one of the best in MMA, so many fighters in MMA could up their game double if they knew how to box .. even basics would help them have an understanding they never had before, and weapons they never had before .. mentally and physically. The rematch will be great, I think Alexa can beat her again. Tc Jaye

@@BillnYou1 I'm not willing to be that charitable towards Valentina personally. She's consistently downplayed other athletes' performances, including fighters that aren't even in her division. If she's trying to playfully brag or 'sell the fight,' I think she's consistently failed at it her entire career.

Your English is awesome. I have so much respect for the MMA fighters whose first language is not English, however they put all the effort in to learn the language and converse so fluently!!! And for choking the arrogance out of Valentino was just priceless!!!🥰😍😘
