Why don't they make movies of this quality anymore? Everything from the story, the music, the voice acting to the animation is just top tier movie making
I like them beautiful. Design, song, and character wise. I like how they both tell the same story but have enough differences where they are unique and special. Personally I like the broadway since it has more songs and is more historically accurate so it makes it fun to think about. However the animated is a childhood classic and holds a special place in my heart.
I went to a Anastasia play recently and when I tell you my soul disintegrated bc of how gorgeous and astonishing the play was like omg. That was the day I saw actual ballerinas. They also hid the mics so well that I thought that they prerecorded the lines and lip singed it. I of course was proven wrong when I saw the wire going down the back of the actor who played Anastasia (her dress had a open back) I dressed up too to see the play also and my class got to sit on the balcony part in the auditorium. I felt like I was a rich lady who was very classy. ♾️/10 would give my life to see it again.
Were did you see it? I wanted togo to broadway before the pandemic ( we were planing the trip in 2019), but i just didnt find shows on the date we whent. Plus the plane tiket, it had already sour me a bit of the experience of my first travel internationally.
No same I got to see it as kid in 6th grade when I went a group school trip event and I saw it when it first came out with the original cast. It is probably the best musical I have ever seen in person and I would kill to see it again 😭
The movie is a classic. The Broadway musical was EVERYTHING! They adapted the movie BEAUTIFULLY! My inner child was happy seeing the original cast; Christy Altomare an Derek Klena WERE Anya and Dmitry to me; the cast, costumes, set, everything felt magical! If you love the movie, you'll love the musical! It's everything you could hope for; a dream come true. ❤

My granddaughter recently starred as Anastasia (Broadway youth version) in her school play and it was magical... absolutely 🩷 the music...🩷.....my Emma truly enjoyed singing these songs and she was incredibly awesome as she has also been in Frozen as Elsa and Sebastian in The Little Mermaid plus many other roles since she's been performing on stage since kindergarten...of course, you can see I am certainly a very proud Gramme‼️

We now know today, that Princess Anastasia did not, in fact, survive the coup of her family that night, leading up to the First World War. Her body was found and identified just several years ago. You know what’s funny? I watched the Broadway version played by different actors and it’s sorta odd seeing them played by people other than the ones who played my viewing (I hope that makes sense)
The extras actually did ballet on stage and Ive bever5been so astonished by the amount of talent on that stage. Singing, dancing BALLET, and acting? Incredible!
